New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience supporting adults, Veterans, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship stress, chronic health concerns, and systems-related challenges. I’ve worked across medical, community, psychiatric, and government settings, which means I understand how personal struggles are often connected to larger life circumstances—not just what’s happening internally, but what’s happening around you.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Meeting through telehealth offers you the flexibility to engage in therapy from a space that feels private, comfortable, and convenient. You can attend sessions from your home, office, or another quiet location where you feel safe to talk openly. Our first session will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy at this point in your life. There is no pressure to share everything all at once. We will move at a pace that feels manageable while identifying your main concerns, current stressors, and what you would like to see change. I will ask some background questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and supports so we can begin creating a plan tailored specifically to you. This is also your opportunity to ask questions about the process, share what has or hasn’t worked in the past, and discuss how we can make telehealth work best for your needs. To Prepare for Your Telehealth Session: • Choose a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable speaking freely • Use a device with a stable internet connection (phone, tablet, or computer) • Consider using headphones for added privacy • Log in a few minutes early to ensure everything is working • Have water, tissues, or anything else you may want nearby By the End of the Session, You Can Expect To: • Feel welcomed and supported in a nonjudgmental space • Have a clearer understanding of your goals and next steps • Know what future sessions will look like • Feel more at ease with the telehealth process Telehealth allows us to do meaningful, focused work together while reducing the stress of travel or scheduling barriers. My goal is to make this experience feel just as personal, connected, and effective as meeting in person.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach is grounded in the belief that therapy should be both compassionate and effective. Clients come to me not just to be heard—but to experience meaningful change. I focus on helping you understand what’s happening, why it’s happening, and what you can do differently starting now. I Combine Insight With Practical ToolsWe don’t stay stuck in reflection alone. I help you translate awareness into action by developing strategies you can apply in everyday situations—managing stress, improving communication, setting boundaries, and navigating challenges with greater confidence. I Bring Real-World Clinical ExperienceMy background across medical, community, and systems-based settings allows me to understand the complexity of life stressors, chronic health concerns, caregiving demands, and institutional challenges. I help clients not only process emotions, but also problem-solve within the realities they face. I Create a Structured Yet Supportive ProcessClients often appreciate that our work has direction. Together, we set clear goals, track progress, and adjust as needed. You’ll know what we’re working toward and how therapy is helping—not just week to week, but long term. I Meet You With Honesty, Respect, and CollaborationI provide a space that is nonjudgmental while also being direct and engaged. I will support you, challenge unhelpful patterns, and help you build skills that strengthen resilience and self-trust. I Focus on Sustainable ChangeThe goal is not temporary relief—it’s helping you develop insight, coping strategies, and confidence that continue to serve you well beyond our sessions. If you are looking for therapy that is thoughtful, goal-oriented, and grounded in both empathy and practical change, we may be a strong fit to work together.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
You may be the person everyone else depends on—the one who keeps going, keeps helping, keeps holding it together—while internally feeling overwhelmed, drained, or unsure how much longer you can do this alone. I work best with adults who are ready for change, even if they’re not sure where to begin. My clients are often navigating anxiety, burnout, depression, unresolved trauma, life transitions, chronic health challenges, or the emotional weight of caregiving, service, or high-responsibility roles. Many are used to being “the strong one” and have difficulty prioritizing themselves without guilt. You might feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, disconnected from who you used to be, or struggling to adjust to a major shift—whether that’s a career change, medical issue, relationship stress, or reintegration after service. You want practical tools, honest conversations, and therapy that helps you function better in real life—not just talk in circles. My ideal clients are open to self-reflection, willing to learn new skills, and motivated to create meaningful, sustainable change. You don’t have to have everything figured out—you just need to be ready to start. Therapy Goals We Often Work Toward Learning how to manage stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm Rebuilding a sense of control, confidence, and identity Processing difficult experiences so they stop interfering with the present Setting healthy boundaries without guilt Adjusting to life transitions, health changes, or role shifts Preventing burnout and creating balance that actually lasts Developing coping strategies you can use immediately in daily life If you’re looking for a space that is supportive, structured, and focused on helping you move forward—not stay stuck—you may be exactly who I’m here to serve.
