New to Grow
Hi, I’m Delisa Hampton, MA, LPC, CART founder of DAH Wellness Corner. I provide compassionate, client-centered counseling using evidence-based approaches, including Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I specialize in helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges by building resilience, strengthening coping skills, and creating meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where every client feels heard, valued, and empowered to thrive.
During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know one another. I’ll ask questions about what brings you to therapy, your personal history, current challenges, and the goals you’d like to achieve. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the counseling process and learn more about my approach. Together, we’ll begin identifying your strengths, exploring your concerns, and developing a personalized treatment plan that fits your unique needs.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, ensuring you feel heard, respected, and supported throughout your journey. There is no pressure to share everything in the first session. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you while building a trusting therapeutic relationship. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling understood, encouraged, and confident that you have a partner to support you on your path toward healing and growth.
My ideal client is willing to show up, be open to the process, and take small steps toward growth at a pace that feels manageable. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Together, we can identify your strengths, clarify your goals, and create a personalized plan that supports your unique needs. There is no pressure to be perfect or have all the answers. I welcome clients who are ready to be supported, challenged gently, and encouraged as they build confidence, resilience, and a greater sense of peace in their lives. My hope is to work with individuals who want a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where they can feel heard, understood, and empowered to create lasting change.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My practice is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which I tailor to each client's developmental level and individual needs. I help children , adolescents, and adults understand how their thoughts influence their feelings and behaviors.Through structured, goal oriented sessions, I teach practical skills such as emotional regulation, problem solving, coping strategies, cognitive restructuring, and positive behavior change. When working with children, I incorporate age appropriate activities, games, and parent collaboration to reinforce skills at home and school. With adults, I focus on building insight , challenging unhelpful thought patterns, improving communication, and strengthening healthy coping strategies. My approach is collaborative, strengths based, and designed to empower clients to become their own problem solvers. Because ADHD is one of my specialty areas, I integrate CBT techniques to help clients improve their executive functioning skills, manage impulsivity, increase organization, build self esteem, and reduce anxiety or frustration related to ADHD symptoms.
