About me

Hi, I'm Sherry, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I support individuals who are navigating major life transitions, struggling with anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed by their emotions. Together, we'll work to better understand your thoughts and feelings, develop practical coping skills, manage anxiety, build self-compassion, and overcome the barriers that may be keeping you from reaching your goals. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can grow, heal, and create meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we'll get to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. You can share at your own pace in a supportive, judgment-free space. I'll ask questions to better understand your concerns, background, and strengths so we can identify goals and create a plan that supports your growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I help adults navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, life transitions, and maternal mental health. Using a collaborative, compassionate approach that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with person-centered care, we'll build practical coping skills, change unhelpful patterns, and work toward lasting confidence, resilience, and well-being.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I’m here to help you sort things out and take the next step forward. You don’t need to have it all figured out, because I’ll meet you exactly where you are. Together, we’ll work through the tough stuff, find clarity, and create a plan that feels realistic and manageable. My role is to listen, support you, and help you make meaningful changes at a pace that feels right for you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients in noticing and changing unhelpful thought patterns that may be causing stress, anxiety, or low mood. Together, we look at how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors connect, and I’ll guide you in learning new coping tools that can make life feel more manageable. CBT is very practical and focused on your goals, it gives you concrete skills you can practice both in and outside of our sessions. The aim is to help you feel more in control and confident in handling life’s challenges.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In my practice, I provide a safe and supportive space where clients can share their feelings and experiences without judgment. I believe that a strong, trusting relationship is the foundation of therapy, and I work to build that connection from the very beginning. Together, we explore what feels most important to you at your own pace. My goal is to help you tap into your own strengths and inner resources, so you can gain greater self-awareness, develop new perspectives, and create meaningful growth in your life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use this approach to help clients stay grounded in the present moment, manage stress more effectively, and build greater self-awareness. By learning to notice thoughts and emotions without judgment, clients can break free from unhelpful patterns and create more calm, balance, and resilience in their daily lives.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my practice, I use Solution Focused Brief Therapy to help clients recognize their strengths and past successes as tools for moving forward. Together, we focus on what’s already working well and clarify your vision for the future. From there, we create clear, achievable goals and practical steps that support lasting, positive change.
