Hi there, I'm Tonya. Do you feel like you need someone to talk to but feel like no one understands you? Carl Rogers said, “We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. I am committed to creating a space where the client feels seen and heard. I have a unique counseling style that allows clients to quickly engage in the therapeutic process. Helping clients find a deeper understanding of themselves is my focus. I guide the client through their journey of self-awareness with cognitive restructuring combined with a person-centered approach. Do you feel overwhelmed and mentally depleted? Our thoughts, emotions, and behavior are guided by our internal compass. Sometimes we need to check our compass and make sure we are going in the right direction. This internal compass is the lens through which we see ourselves, and the world and influences our decisions. A shift in the thought process opens the door for healing and clarity of thought. I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can gain the self-awareness you need to work through your struggles and move forward with your life. Let's work together!

I know at times life can seem confusing or even impossible. I believe with every fiber of my being we all have the answers we need. Somehow we get separated from our core strength. You are the expert on you, you alone hold your truth. I am interested in your story and use the description, "enlightened witness" as a way to describe some of what I do in my work as a therapist and healer. I see myself as a fellow traveler, a helper, and a companion who "holds the lantern" to help guide people to move out of dark places and into their truth. Much of the time we are living a narrative others have crafted, often driven by fear or pain rather than strength. These narratives can feel like prisons but we can heal and take back our story, and choose to see from our core. Embrace compassion, reflection and most of all self-love. Some of my greatest joy comes from helping people move past pain into healthy and loving relationships with themselves and others. I believe suffering is inevitable but not without wisdom and growth. Sometimes seeing our strengths is difficult. Self-love must include your whole being and all parts ~ messy, vulnerable, raw and authentic. You are the velveteen rabbit and you are already worthy of your own love. You are already real. I am licensed in Virginia, West Virginia and Texas. I see clients in these states only at this point. FYI Please schedule on the hour only. Otherwise, I will have to call you back and reschedule. I usually offer mostly daytime hours so having the time to meet during the day is important.

Therapy is a journey that is not always the easiest to embark upon and just showing up is half the battle. My role is to create a structured yet supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, clarify their goals, and develop lasting solutions. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance grounded in trust, respect, and collaboration. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baylor University and my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Over the past decade, I have worked with adults, adolescents, and families across diverse settings, including hospitals and the criminal justice system. My practice integrates psychodynamic insight with cognitive-behavioral techniques, and I am EMDR-trained with particular experience helping clients recover from trauma. Treatment is always tailored to the individual, drawing on evidence-based methods to promote meaningful, measurable progress. Outside of clinical work, I enjoy coffee, college football, time with my dogs, travel, and collecting mechanical watches.

Hi. I'm Steve. Do you ever wonder why, no matter how many different things you've tried, you fall back into old behaviors that hurt you and/or those you love? Do you wonder why your emotions take over and leave you feeling incapable or overwhelmed? Do your emotions get in the way of effectively communicating when it matters the most? We all face questions like this, and the most fulfilling part of my work is helping people like you find answers to those questions. I don’t have any “one-size-fits-all” solutions, but together we will work to identify what drives your responses and what you can do to make lasting changes. We will work to help you anticipate and prevent issues before they appear, to feel emotional intensity rising and calm it down, and to exit stressful situations before doing or saying something you’ll regret. I don’t believe that our worst moments define us. I DO believe that each of us is capable of overcoming past struggles and finding a new path. I look forward to working with you as you try to find yours.

Hello! My name is Adam Lenker. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed in Texas and Wisconsin. Whatever you are dealing with, know that I am here to listen and support you, through harnessing of compassionate self-awareness. I believe strongly in encouraging self-empowerment, focusing on choices and their results. Central to my theoretical orientation (Person-Centered, Existentialist) is a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, being solution-focused, as well as encouraging mindfulness. A little bit about how I approach therapy. In creating an alliance with a new client, I adopt a stance of listening and confronting situations non-judgmentally and with compassion, acknowledging that this work is about you, and your life's goals and struggles. My practice is built around partnership with my clients, working hard to establish and maintain this therapeutic alliance. I do this by taking cues of direction, pace and depth from the people with whom I work, and allowing for immediacy to inform what is and is not working.

Thank you for taking the first step of courage and making yourself a priority today. Opening yourself up and being vulnerable can be a tremendous step to your healing process. As Brene Brown says, “Vulnerability is not winning or losing, it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome.” You are showing up for yourself today! Although the first steps can be overwhelming, I can walk with you and help guide you on the journey of healing and peace. I will always provide a safe space of acceptance and non-judgement for you to share your emotional pain, grow to love and be kind to yourself, and find the peace you deserve to heal. Remember that you are worthy and deserving of being free of the emotional pain you are experiencing. Be kind to yourself. **If you are viewing my profile for your child (3-17 years of age), I provide a calming and accepting space to assist with regulating your child's emotions. If your child is experiencing symptoms of anxiety, ADHD or difficulty focusing due to inattention or hyperactivity, or your child is lacking motivation and seems more irritable and angrier than usual, I can teach your child coping skills and strategies. Hi there, my name is Shawn Taylor. I’m here to help. Are you experiencing anger or frustration because important needs and expectations remain unmet? Are you struggling to balance your relationships, work, health, and personal responsibilities? Do you feel anxious or uncertain about the direction your life is taking? Have unhealthy habits or recurring patterns kept you from becoming the person you know you are capable of becoming? Throughout my career, I have consistently observed that most people genuinely want to change. What is often missing is not motivation, but a practical understanding of how to turn insight and intention into consistent, sustainable action. For more than 20 years, I have studied human behavior from three professional perspectives: criminal justice investigator, educator, and mental health practitioner. These experiences have taught me to look beyond symptoms and identify the underlying experiences, beliefs, emotional responses, and behavioral patterns that may keep people stuck. My approach helps you understand those patterns, strengthen emotional and behavioral self-regulation, process unresolved experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and build greater personal agency. Rather than simply asking, “What is wrong?” we also explore: “What happened, what patterns developed, what keeps them active, and what can you begin doing differently?” My goal is to help you translate greater self-awareness into healthier decisions, behaviors, relationships, and outcomes—with greater clarity, resilience, confidence, and self-direction. I earned my MA in Counseling Psychology from Houston Graduate School of Theology in 2014 and have served as a Houston Police Department Criminal Justice Investigator, Spring ISD Career & Technology Educator, and independent Mental Health Practitioner. Texas Licenses: • LPC — #73416 • LSOTP — #99449 • LCDC — #12929

Hi, I'm Esther. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Daring Way Trained Facilitator. I've been providing counseling to individuals for almost 6 years. Prior to that, I worked in the education sector for almost 10 years, which deeply sparked my interest in pursuing mental health work. To me, counseling sessions are like writing a story. It is a process that involves brainstorming, creating drafts, and making revisions until your story feels whole and complete. Imagine you are the writer. You have all the pieces of your story within you already. Think of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors as those pieces. Sometimes, they don’t make any sense, it’s overwhelming, and you don’t know where to begin. I view my role as someone who is with you to guide you through the process and help organize those very thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with you. During our time together, it is my hope that you develop the skills to ultimately write your story on your own. Your story may include experiencing cycles of depression, anxiety, grief, past trauma, struggles of worthiness and belonging, the complexities of being a part of an immigrant family, generational trauma, a combination of these things, or perhaps something entirely different. Everyone's mental health journey is different. I’m here to meet you where you are. I also want to acknowledge how scary it can be when taking a leap of faith into a new therapeutic journey. It takes a lot of courage. More than anything, it’s important to me that you feel safe and the stories you share are handled with utmost care.

Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I received my master's degree from Dallas Baptist University in Counseling Psychology. Hello! I bring 17 years of mental health experience along for your sessions. I have been in private practice since January of 2023. I consider myself a generalist and I'm happy to help you with any need or concern that you might have. Some of the areas where I have the most experience are depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and grief and loss. I have spent the majority of my career working in a University setting and have helped many college-age adults make meaningful changes. I have also worked in behavioral health clinics and have experience working with clients that have been legally referred to therapy. I work with almost all age groups however, I typically do not work with persons under the age of 18. If you are a minor, please have your guardian consult with me before scheduling an intake and I will consider your need and my areas of expertise and help you determine our next steps. I am also no longer able to accommodate couples therapy. If you are seeking a couples therapy session I will be happy to assist you with a referral. At this time, I am unable to assist with FMLA paperwork.

Hi I'm Jennifer. I work with a wide range of therapy clients. In all my therapy I find that many times unresolved feelings and negative thought patterns come into play. Often the way we learn to communicate and our feelings about ourselves impact our relationships with others. My background is in trauma and attachment. Helping people understand how their unresolved feelings related to trauma affects their current relationships and life is where most of the work is. I work with you to identify what keeps you stuck and how to shift to improve communication, mood, relationships, and have a more positive outlook. I also work with you to identify and work toward your goals, whatever they may be. I work with a solution focused, cognitive behavioral style. I have been trained in TFCBT. I have many years experience and work to find what will work best with you. Change is hard and identifying what is impacting your life and holding you back is where we work together to move forward. I look forward to getting to know you and help you grow and blossom.
