Welcome! My name is Mayra Ramos and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been a social worker for over 15 years and have experience in a variety of settings, including non profits, behavioral clinic, inpatient psychiatric care, telehealth counseling, and serving unaccompanied minors under ORR care. I have experience with young children, children with disabilities, adolescents, young adults, and adults of all ages. Wondering if counseling really helps? Well, I’m here to tell you that counseling doesn’t have to be complicated. It is definitely beneficial and helpful. Counseling is about building a trusting relationship with your therapist. It’s knowing that you can talk to your therapist about anything that comes to mind. You don’t have to second-guess yourself, because counseling is all about you. It’s a place where you will be understood, where you’ll be listened to, and where you will be supported. Our ultimate goal is to increase your overall well-being. I do my best to provide my clients with a safe and comforting environment where they are free to express themselves. My clients are able to explore their thoughts, current situations, address stressors, life changes, relationship conflicts, grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and a multitude of issues. We can work together to set boundaries, improve relationships, increase healthy coping skills, and help you live a more joyful life.

Hey there! Are you feeling a little overwhelmed lately? You’re not alone. Maybe you’ve been juggling a million things, second-guessing yourself, or trying to keep everyone else happy while quietly burning out. If that sounds familiar, I see you and I’d love to help. I work with millennials, professionals and creatives who are ready to stop running on autopilot and start feeling more connected, calm, and confident in their own skin. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, going through a big life transition, struggling with boundaries, or just feeling “off,” we’ll work together to make sense of it and create space for something new. In our sessions, you can expect compassion, curiosity, and maybe even a little humor when it fits. I use an integrative approach rooted in evidence-based practices like CBT, but I also bring creativity and flexibility into the process because therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither are you. This is your space to breathe, reflect, and grow. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to show up and we’ll take it from there, together.

I personally know what this feels like and how difficult it can be. I was blessed to have people in my life to help me during my "trying times." Honestly, I still do. I am Bi-lingual, (Spanish) and have been practicing for 13 years. I have worked with teenagers, adults, and couples. I do not work with children due to my lack of training. My experience entails working with addictions and various disorders. I believe in both therapy and medication and am cultural competent to utilize as resources. My heart is working with trauma and am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe that my job is to have my clients get to the point where they are no longer needing my services. That's right, to get myself fired! I believe that we were created in the image of the Creator which means the ability to love and be loved and to have the freedom to make wise decisions which help navigate us through this journey we are on. Hello, I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the states of Texas and Tennessee with 30 years of counseling and ministry experience. I began as a minister of the Gospel in the Southern Baptist tradition in 1993 working with the homeless to overcome the struggles of addiction and hopelessness in North Carolina and Tennessee. From there, I became a case manager in a rural oupatient behavioral health clinic helping the chronically mentally ill live independently outside of the institutional settings. As my family of five children grew, my wife encouraged me to join the military in 2007 and for the next 13 years we served alongside our Soldiers and their Families as a chaplain. There, I learned through experience how to work through the stress of multiple transitions, the unyeilding demands for time and energy, and the unjust nature of toxic environments. I learned how to support those who wanted to strengthen themselves and their relationships in these environments and to ultimately be at peace with who they are and who they want to be. As I have matured in my training and become licensed in marriage and family therapy, I have found that I now specialize in using Solution Focused therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help individuals identify their strengths and the beliefs that are guiding their behavior. With this knowledge, people can begin to choose who they want to be.

Hello and welcome to my page. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have been practicing in the counseling field for over three years and can truly say, it has been a pleasure. I feel it is an honor to help clients through various issues such as relationship conflicts, self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, etc. My fascination with the field began when I was merely ten years old, a time marked by the heart-wrenching aftermath of my parents' divorce, which left emotional scars that ignited my curiosity. Like many people, I have experienced loss and pain; however, with the right mindset and support, these challenges can be overcome!

Greetings, I'm Anita Smith! If this is your first time seeking help, I would like to commend you for your courage, and if you have had therapy before, I hope I say something that connects for you. I'm curious to know what brought you here and what you would like to get out of therapy? I specialize in helping individuals cope with the different kinds of losses: 1) Primary losses - the death of a loved one, friend or pet, break-up, separation, divorce, loss of job, loss of money, the victim of a crime and losses due to Covid19 2)Secondary losses - moving, illness, changes and success; 3) Limbo losses - Covid 19, waiting for the outcome of a test result, a lawsuit, separation, not knowing the outcome; 4) Complicated losses - primary, secondary and limbo losses going on at the same time. The reactions to loss could be feeling of anxiety, depression, helpless, fearful, emptiness, despair, pessimistic, irritability, anger, guilty, restlessness, loss of concentration, hope, motivation, energy, change in appetite, sleep pattern and a tendency to be more fatigued and error prone. Are you experiencing any of those feelings? I also work with individuals who desire prayer before our sessions. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas for 25+ years, a National Certified Counselor (NCC) for 35+ years, and a Board Certified Coach (BCC) for 10 years.

I believe that compassion and self-love are powerful tools that allow us to overcome life’s challenges and mental health struggles. By fostering a nonjudgmental and understanding environment, we can acknowledge that perfection is not the goal—growth is. Each person is unique, processing experiences in their own way and at their own pace. Through patience, collaboration, and consistency, we can achieve meaningful goals and build resilience together. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my purpose is to help others just as I was once helped. My personal journey—marked by life experiences, challenges, and both right and wrong choices—has guided me toward the most rewarding profession: supporting others in their healing. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your healing journey and to help you discover your strength, resilience, and potential for growth.

My name is Richard Spires, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in individual, couples, marriage, and family therapy. I help clients navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship concerns, grief, and adolescent issues. I use a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). My goal is to create a collaborative and supportive space where we can work together toward meaningful change. I earned my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2018 and have worked as a mental health professional for over six years. I strongly believe in the power of the therapeutic alliance—that counseling works best when it’s a true partnership. Having experienced therapy myself, I understand how important it is to feel heard and understood. I take time to get to know each client and approach every session with empathy, curiosity, and genuine care. Whenever you’re ready to talk, I’m ready to listen.
