About me

Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 40 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and find a greater sense of balance and fulfillment. My career has taken me through many roles—serving on community mental health boards, directing psychiatric residential programs, and leading clinical teams—all with one goal: to support people in living fuller, healthier, and more connected lives. Since stepping back from full-time leadership roles, I’ve shifted my focus to what I value most—working directly with clients through my online therapy practice. I specialize in supporting young and middle-aged adults, couples, and parents who are facing life transitions, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, addictive habits, or a sense of feeling stuck. My approach combines the practical tools of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a deeper exploration of the emotional and mental blocks that may be holding you back. I believe healing and growth happen when we align mind, body, and spirit—restoring a sense of inner harmony that allows you to live with more clarity, purpose, and peace. Therapy is a journey, and you don’t have to take it alone. If you’re ready to begin creating positive changes in your life, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Feel free to explore my website and see how we might work together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

“When we first meet, I take time to really understand your situation—what’s going on in your life, what brought you here, and what you hope to achieve. Together, we’ll talk through your goals and create a plan that feels right for you. This way, we’re on the same page from the start and can build a solid path forward for your therapy.”

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my key strengths is helping clients identify and break free from cognitive distortions—those patterns of faulty or inaccurate thinking that can fuel emotional distress and block personal growth. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic techniques, I guide clients in uncovering the root of these distortions while integrating a deeper understanding of their spiritual nature. This combined approach allows me to help individuals not only challenge unhelpful thought patterns but also resolve underlying issues from the past, empowering them to achieve both their treatment and life goals with clarity and confidence.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Is this you? You want to live a life of meaning, balance, and connection—but anxiety, depression, or other emotional struggles seem to stand in the way. Perhaps you find it hard to maintain healthy relationships, navigate major life changes, or cope with stress that feels overwhelming. You may even feel stuck—unsure of your next move, yet knowing something needs to change. My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to explore their inner world, understand what’s holding them back, and take intentional steps toward growth. They may be experiencing emotional distress, uncertainty, or a sense of being unfulfilled, but they are open to self-discovery and learning new skills to create a more positive and empowered life. Through the therapy process, I help clients identify their strengths, manage symptoms effectively, and develop practical tools to face challenges with clarity and confidence. Together, we work toward building a life that feels purposeful, balanced, and authentically yours.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe therapy is about more than just learning coping skills—it’s about helping people see themselves and their lives in a clearer, more compassionate way. My primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a method that helps people explore how their thoughts influence their feelings and choices. When we learn to look at situations more objectively, we create space for healthier thinking, stronger emotional balance, and better decision-making. While CBT is my main focus, I also draw from other therapeutic methods to meet each person where they are. Together, we explore thought patterns, discover new ways of handling challenges, and build tools that can be used well beyond the therapy session. My goal is to make the process collaborative, supportive, and practical—so that growth feels not only possible but sustainable. I’ve seen how even small shifts in perspective can lead to big changes—in relationships, in confidence, and in overall quality of life. Every person’s journey is unique, and I feel honored to help clients find their own path toward balance, resilience, and well-being.

Couples Counseling

"Empowering couples to heal, grow, and thrive—together." "I believe every couple has the power to rewrite their story and create a relationship filled with connection, understanding, and hope. Through a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques and years of experience guiding couples, I help partners uncover the patterns that shape their interactions and discover new ways to communicate with compassion and clarity. My passion is helping couples transform old struggles into opportunities for growth—so they can move forward feeling supported, connected, and inspired by one another. If you’re ready to take that first brave step toward change, I’m here to walk beside you."

Eclectic

I believe therapy should fit you—not the other way around. Over the years, I’ve trained in a variety of approaches, from Behavior Modification for behavioral concerns to grief therapy for healing after loss, parenting support for families, and psychodynamic work to explore how the past shapes the present. No matter where you are on your journey, I’ll meet you there—with compassion, guidance, and tools for lasting change. When you’re ready, we’ll take that first brave step together toward feeling better.

It made me feel very welcome and comfortable in our session. It was very easy to open up and tell him what I was dealing with so that way we can make a plan of action.
