Hi, I’m Julian. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor with a decade of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, grieving, or navigating life's transitions, I offer a safe, compassionate space to sort through your emotions, find clarity, and build resilience. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way of your growth, recognize patterns that no longer serve you, and develop practical, personalized strategies to support emotional balance, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of self. I draw from evidence-based methods including CBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused strategies, Mindfulness, and specialized Grief Counseling—tailored to your unique needs.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you’ll step into a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can share what’s been challenging and what brought you to therapy. We’ll explore your concerns, your goals, and any background that helps me understand your unique experiences. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of what to expect in our work together and the reassurance that this is a safe place to begin your healing. My goal is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and empowered to take your next steps in your growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths include my empathetic ability to see you as a whole person and create a safe, supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood. Clients often say they leave sessions feeling empowered to explore their emotions, recognize their strengths, and take meaningful steps toward growth and healing. I foster a collaborative environment that helps you build resilience, navigate challenges, and move toward greater balance and personal clarity.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, giving you clarity and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re a student managing academic stress and identity pressures, or an adult balancing work, family, and caregiving responsibilities, CBT can help reduce anxiety, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and improve coping skills. Together, we work to strengthen communication, build emotional resilience, and create healthier patterns—especially during major life transitions when stress, self-doubt, and uncertainty can feel overwhelming. This approach empowers you to make meaningful changes and regain a sense of balance and confidence in your daily life.

Grief Therapy

Grief work is a core part of my practice. I support clients experiencing the loss of loved ones, anticipatory grief, and the unique grief that can come from caregiving, role changes, or strained family relationships. My approach provides a safe, compassionate space to process emotions at your own pace while fostering meaning, resilience, and connection. Whether you’re navigating your first major loss or grieving a parent while managing family responsibilities, I offer steady guidance and support through every stage of healing. Together, we work to help you honor your feelings, adjust to life changes, and gradually find balance and hope.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness into sessions to help clients become more present, grounded, and emotionally balanced. Through breathing exercises, grounding techniques, and awareness practices, clients learn to calm their nervous system, reduce anxiety, and manage overwhelming thoughts. This approach is especially helpful for adults navigating caregiving responsibilities, grief, chronic worry, or high stress. Mindfulness helps you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and find steadiness, even during life’s most challenging seasons.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to support clients who feel ambivalent about change or struggle to move forward. This approach helps you clarify your values, reconnect with what motivates you, and make empowered decisions about your next steps. MI is especially helpful for clients managing burnout, career transitions, overall emotional demands. You remain in charge of your journey, and I provide guidance to help you gain the clarity and confidence needed to take meaningful steps forward.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use Person-Centered Therapy to create a safe, empathetic space where clients feel truly heard and understood. This approach prioritizes your unique experiences, allowing you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and values at your own pace. It helps you build self-awareness, increase self-acceptance, and foster personal growth. Clients often leave sessions feeling more empowered to find their own solutions, make meaningful choices, and move toward the life they want.
