New to Grow
Hello, I'm Sharon. If you are seeking a therapist who is both direct and gentle, I'm here to guide you on a transformative journey. My friendly, non-judgmental demeanor will ensure you feel supported as you navigate life's twists and turns. My areas of specialization include anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, family relationships, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, intimate/romantic relationships, sex/intimacy issues, stress, and trauma. I believe in the power of therapy to help you find healing and growth, and I am committed to supporting you every step of the way.
Clients can expect the first session to focus on building rapport and gathering information about what brings them to therapy. This may include discussing presenting concerns, current symptoms, mental health history, medications, stressors, and completing any necessary assessments. Together, we will begin identifying goals for treatment and creating a structure for future sessions. While initial sessions are often information-gathering focused, I take a flexible and client-centered approach and will adjust as needed, particularly if crisis management or immediate support is needed.
Ability to balance validation with practical tools and insights, sense of humor, and grounded
My ideal clients are individuals who may appear high functioning on the outside while internally managing stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties/challenges, life transitions, identity development, or emotional exhaustion/overwhelm. I work well with clients who are ready to explore patterns, value insight, practical tools, build healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change while feeling genuinely seen and supported throughout the process. Moreover, I enjoy working with immigrants, migrants, and first-generation individuals navigating the unique emotional, cultural, and life transitions.
Eclectic
I utilize an eclectic therapy approach that draws from multiple therapeutic modalities to best support each client's individual needs. My work is client-centered and guided by their concerns, goals, and experiences that clients bring into the session, allowing therapy to remain personalized, collaborative, and adaptable.
