My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

As an experienced clinical therapist, crisis and psychological first aid therapist, I've used this treatment method to help clients reframe their negative thoughts associated with childhood or adult trauma. This modality is used to assist clients in developing healthier coping skills, process their trauma, rebuild trust and regain control over their lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT when working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression and/or other emotional concerns. This structure and goal-oriented therapy is very helpful when working with patients who are grieving or attempting to address stressful situations. It helps them to reframe their thinking and see new possibilities and outcomes.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy is based on the principal of being present. It helps to improve self-awareness of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Clients are able to focus on the present moment. It is helpful when I'm working with clients who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia and other concerns. Yoga, meditation, breathing techniques are some of the recommended strategies to help manage mental health and promote self-care.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I have used EFT to help clients process their emotions and to secure relationships with oneself and others. This therapy is helpful when working with individuals, couples, families and groups in general. The goal is to resolve relationship issues and improve the client/s emotional coping abilities.

Family Therapy

I find Family therapy has been very useful when working with families and individuals who are experiencing, grief, stress, anger, divorce, life transitions to include: loss of employment, moving or incarceration of a loved one. This therapy helps support, educate and guide clients to better solve their problems, improve functioning, and enhance well-being.
