Are you struggling with life and want to gain back some control? Have life's challenges gotten overwhelming for you? Let's work together to set your life back on the trajectory you were meant to be on.
Hi! My name is Alfred Crixell Jr. and I'm passionate about helping you become the best possible version of yourself. Let's move together towards that goal. For the past 18 years I have worked with individuals, couples, and families in areas such as substance abuse and addiction, depression, anxiety, behavior, life skills, and anger management; as well as couples and marriage counseling in all relationships.
I believe that the past doesn't equal the future. You can begin to change your life by focusing on what's in front of you, and not the past. Let's work together and start to make that change, today!
HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS! That is the key!! With 25 years of experience, much research, studying, and face to face experience living and working all over the world, I realized relationships with yourself and with others can make or break our contentment in life! But there are skills to learn to make it happen, skills such as self-awareness, ability to pay attention to the world around us and our own bodies (mindfulness), learning to grieve and let go while embracing change, learning the characteristics of a healthy relationship with others and with ourselves, and accessing our strengths while focusing on the beauty in life. I'd love to walk with you through this process to restore hope.
I believe that it should not be hard to live a better life, because people can change and there is hope. I, Daniell' Chisley, offer therapy services for adults and juveniles (13-17). We can come up with solutions together. I offer integrated treatment styles that are safe, inclusive, and tailored to you, so that you can feel heard and get the help that you need. Helping you to heal is my goal. I will guide you to acceptance, understanding, and developing results.
I am a retired veteran and a single mother; I am here to validate you as the client, and you are here for a 3rd or 4th perspective in your journey through your mental well-being. I am faith-based; however, that will never allow me to turn anyone away from mental care, and everyone is accepted. I love cooking (chef skills), roller skating, and spending time with family and my furbabies. I am the author of two books and a women-based journal that includes wellness for women. I love NFL football and GO BILLS!
I am a licensed professional counselor with over 19 years of experience working with adults in a variety of settings on issues such as anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I’m Micheal Franklin, and my journey into therapy began in a blue-collar family where my relatives worked in textile mills, battery plants, and furniture factories. Growing up, I aspired to carve a different path, aiming to be the first in my family to earn a college degree. I graduated from Western Piedmont Community College in Drug and Alcohol Technology and earned an Associate in Arts in 1996. I then continued my education at Gardner-Webb University, obtaining my Bachelor’s in Science in Human Services.
Recognizing that the job market wouldn’t provide enough financial stability, I joined the Marines in 1998. During my service, I got married and welcomed a baby boy, which motivated me to seek part-time work with troubled adolescents and teens facing addiction issues. After leaving the Marines in 2003, I worked in a group home for adolescents and later became a Prevention Supervisor for adolescent substance use treatment. I also served as the lead treatment therapist for a Men's Intensive Outpatient Program at the Cognitive Connection in Hickory, NC.
My passion for helping others led me to teach parenting classes and collaborate with Child Protective Services. I pursued my Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of West Florida while gaining experience in Community Mental Health. I also worked in a drug court program for two years. Since becoming licensed in 2014, I have dedicated my career to supporting clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, personality disorders, and life transitions.

I enjoy working with people to help them build a strong sense of self, encourage their confidence in relationships, and help foster a sense of calm and security in their everyday life. I enjoy helping parents navigate the many challenges that come our way. I believe people seek therapy for many reasons: adjustment to a new city or life situation, feeling overwhelmed or stuck, or problems with relationships. Counseling is a process that most of us could benefit from time to time at different stages in life, as it brings an outsider's perspective to events, we are faced with in day-to-day life in a nonjudgmental way.
Since becoming a counselor, I have worked in a variety of community counseling settings. I have worked with clients from ages 3 through 80 and with individuals, couples, and families. With that breadth of experience, very little shocks or surprises me and I have gotten a pretty good sense of where the types of counseling that play to my strengths as a counselor overlap with the types of counseling that are helpful for my clients. This sense (along with learning about lots and lots of research into what helps people find and maintain mental health) has led to the following guiding principles that shape all the counseling I do:
1) The client is always in charge. I know a lot of things but you will always be the one who decides what you want to get out of counseling, how we work towards that goal, whether or not what we’re doing seems to be working, and when we’re done.
2) Change and health happen through relationships. No matter what you come in for, there are always relational implications of change and relational factors that contribute to whatever it is that you came to counseling to change.
3) Counseling should be efficient. Counseling has significant costs in time and money. I think the benefits far outweigh the costs but if I can give you the benefits while helping you save on the costs then I want to do that.

Something you may be curious about is why I became a therapist. There’s a long version and a short version, so I think I’ll give you the medium version. I’ve always enjoyed connecting with people. I have always enjoyed building relationships with others, and helping where and when I can. I can honestly say. I have a lot of life experiences that have helped me with being subjective, and have cultivated who I am today.
During my journey, I was able to spend time with people who were different than me, which has helped expand my mind, understand, admire, and connect with people who have a wide variety of views, beliefs, and experiences. After I graduated college, I worked at a community mental health agency that has provided me with a lot of experiences in many different areas of mental health. It is a lot of work, but I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work with so many different people, and in different capacities.
I am passionate about the human experience, and I currently see my mission as empowering others to explore their identity, discovering their authentic selves, and allow themselves to step into their truth. It is important to know I am on this journey of life myself! I’m not a therapist who thinks she has all the answers, or who’s going to give you my opinions as fact, or who will tell you exactly what you should do. I see my role as a dedicated partner here to collaborate with you and assist you in uncovering all the layers that make you who you are.
