What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

First sessions are to learn more about each other, identify strengths and problems, and set some mental health goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Travis’ method focuses on helping clients manage stress, prioritize their mental health, and prevent personal and professional burnout. Not everyone meets the criteria for a psychological diagnosis, but all people experience stress and anxiety. Stress is a response to a tangible problem like work, finances, or relationship conflict. My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT has been a tool I've used since starting my counseling education. CBT can help identify unhelpful thoughts that prevent you from achieving your goals.

Existential

I identify as an existential therapist because my sessions tend to focus on creating purpose and meaning in life. This is facilitated by exploring core values and identifying unsatisfying areas of your life.

Trauma Informed Care

I have worked with clients with PTSD since I started working with military personnel in an inpatient treatment center.

Gender-affirming therapy

About 50% of my practice includes client that Identify as LGBTQ+. Supporting this community has been a part of my life for years.

Multicultural

I have clients from many countries around the world and with various cultural backgrounds. I work to create a non-judgmental and understanding environment in sessions.
