Welcome to SLAY Therapy, where today’s the day to SLAY: Start Loving All of You!
I’m Akeesha M. Washington, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CAADC), National Certified Counselor (NCC) and your dedicated SLAY Therapist and Certified Slayer of Mental Health Stigmas. With over 15+ years of experience, I’ve made it my mission to offer inclusive, compassionate, and yes, a little bit fabulous therapy! I’ve worked in a wide range of settings, from schools to community mental health centers, and now I bring that diverse expertise into my private practice. Whether you’re an individual, couple, or family, I provide therapy that’s culturally competent, trauma-informed, and tailored to your unique journey, using approaches like CBT, EMDR, DBT, Solution Focused, and Racial Trauma Therapy.
A proud Philadelphia native, I hold two graduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, an Executive MBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, and a bachelor's degree from Kutztown University. My practice is primarily focused on supporting BIPOC communities in navigating mental health, dismantling stigma, and improving access to quality care. However, I also welcome anyone seeking therapy through a culturally competent, anti-racist, queer-affirming, and inclusive lens. My approach is rooted in understanding the cultural, social, and racial dynamics that impact mental health. At SLAY Therapy, my goal is simple: to create a space where you feel empowered to embrace your whole self, no filters needed.
Additionally, I thoughtfully use AI-supported tools to enhance the therapeutic process, such as creating personalized reflections, exercises, and resources that support our work together. AI never replaces clinical judgment, human connection, or your voice, and your comfort with these tools will always be respected.
Today’s the day to SLAY: Start Loving All of You. Let’s slay together!
I believe in the saying, “If you give a man a fish he eats for a day, but if you teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime.” I teach techniques that can be implemented to overcome current hurdles and are also transferrable to be used in the future as needs arise.
My approach is to work collaboratively with clients to meet them where they are and learn their goals and aspirations so that we can develop a plan together to overcome obstacles. I have experience and enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. My work is focused on helping individuals and families that are struggling with mood and learning disorders, anxiety, trauma, and other challenges.
I primarily practice psychodynamic techniques, and also incorporate CBT, mindfulness, trauma focused, Family Dynamics, Family Systems, and other modalities as appropriate.
I have diverse experience working with children, families, and adults across settings including schools, homes, hospitals, long-term care facilities, family court and juvenile justice systems, as well as those involved with DHS, foster care, and the adoption process.
Working with individuals & families experiencing and living with health challenges and/or disabilities is of particular interest to me.
I am licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) committed to helping people heal and grow from their past and live an authentic life. In addition to clinical work, I also have a background in higher education and career counseling.

Have you been wondering if your current challenges are due to past traumatic life events? Do you struggle in relationships? If so, I may be the Therapist for you. I specialize in trauma therapy for teenagers and adults.
Many people often think trauma is only caused by violent crimes, acts of physical abuse, or natural disasters. They may also think because trauma happened a long time ago, it does not affect them in the present. These are a few of the myths about trauma. There are many types of traumas such as the sudden or unexpected death of a loved one, bullying, retaliation in the workplace, neglect from parents, infidelity, intimate partner violence, the witnessing of domestic violence and more.
If you or your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, or life stressors, therapy with me can help with positive changes to strengthen self-esteem and confidence.
I am trained in EMDR and other trauma therapy approaches. My years of professional experience as a teacher and counselor, along with my lived experiences as a Black person allow me to provide empathetic regard while helping clients from multicultural backgrounds.

Hello, I'm Niki.
Are you feeling overwhelmed? Are you struggling yourself, or maybe your teen is concerning you? Let's talk, and we can work together to find solutions.
I help others to find patterns in their lives that are keeping them stuck, and find ways to become unstuck. We'll find what is working and build on your strengths. We'll also find what isn't working, and develop a plan that's right for you. I'll teach you ways to calm your body and your brain, slow down thoughts to bring clarity, and develop better ways to act or respond to the stresses around you.
Being your authentic self in this world can be hard, but it is possible. Often times we have systems weighing us down that get in the way of that process. I want to guide you on your journey of self-discovery and help you recognize your own strengths. My wish is for you to find support and become more empowered.
Counseling is one way you can begin to work through these challenges and in a way is a first step in self-advocacy. It offers an outside perspective and a type of scaffolding as you build yourself up. Communication, stress management and dealing with the intensity of daily emotions can be overwhelming, especially when you realize that your brain is considered different from the “default.” As a counselor, I believe that when lived experience is combined with formal schooling the results can create a better connection.
Let’s work together on goals that you find important, because you know yourself better than anyone else! If you are ready to schedule you can click on the book now button.
Hi there! My name is Koti (KOH-tee).

I believe that everyone has value and is worthy of love, kindness and compassion. I provide evidence-based, culturally responsive psychotherapy services that honor the diversity of identities and experiences of individuals I work with. My goal is to empower you on your journey to embrace, love and value your uniqueness and thrive in aspects of life you would like to improve.

I’m a firm believer that we are all carriers of deep, complex life stories. These stories build and shape our inner worlds and can be both elevating and/or burdensome to us. They build our reality and how we place ourselves within it. As a licensed clinical social worker, my work focuses on helping my clients interact with their stories, organize their habits, and shape the mental patterns that they are functioning within.
We work together to make certain these stories are in alignment with the life they want to build for themselves.
My approach to mental health care focuses on the mind-body connection, and a deep emphasis on both thought and bodily sensation awareness.
I hope to partner with my clients as they find more security and self understanding within our work together. I look forward to seeing you all within the space and am excited to begin our work together!

I was rigorously trained in CBT, including exposure therapy, motivational interviewing, DBT, and interpersonal psychotherapy. I also have experience developing and facilitating therapy groups. My main goal is to focus on the goals identified and to help you create the kind of life you deserve while providing guidance and support.

I help professionals in recovery who are carrying more than anyone realizes. Many of my clients are high-achieving people who have spent years holding everything together on the outside while privately struggling with alcohol, substances, compulsive behaviors, anxiety, or burnout. They’re people who have been depended on—at home, at work, and in their families—and they’re tired of performing, hiding, or white-knuckling their way through life.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with years of experience in addiction recovery, trauma, and life transitions, I bring a grounded, practical, and compassionate approach. My work is deeply influenced by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), values-based living, and helping clients build a life that feels aligned rather than pressured or chaotic.
I understand that asking for help—especially as a professional—comes with unique challenges: reputation concerns, workplace stress, perfectionism, shame, fear of consequences, and relationships strained by years of coping alone. My role is not to judge or lecture, but to offer a private, steady space where you can talk openly, regain clarity, and take meaningful steps toward a healthier, more peaceful life.
Whether you’re navigating early sobriety, long-term recovery, career demands, relationship stress, or a sense that you’ve lost yourself, I’m here to walk with you—not as an authority figure, but as someone who respects the courage it takes to show up.
If you’re ready for therapy that’s confidential, respectful, and tailored to the realities of being a professional in recovery, I’d be honored to support you.
Hello, I’m Colleen.
Does it feel as if you are giving more energy than you have or that there are too many things and not enough mental energy to juggle all those tasks? Are you finding that your relationships are strained or that keeping up with friends and loved ones seems like an unsurmountable task? Do you find it difficult to give yourself grace and empathy?
I am looking to work with young professionals and adults to help manage anxiety, burnout, depression, and the stressors that come with living in a chaotic world. Together, we can identify the issues that you are facing, discuss how best to manage these feelings and stressors and find a way to make your routine and relationships work with you instead of against you. I have weekend availability to help fit therapy into your busy schedule.
I have worked in the hospital setting for seven years now and feel very comfortable talking with medical professionals about the particularly difficult strains that a career in medicine puts on individuals. Whether it is dealing with the mental load and stress of being a resident, the emotional labor done as a nurse, or the burnout that all individuals in this profession face, I am here to listen and provide non-judgmental feedback to help you manage such a demanding career.
Anxiety, depression, and strained relationships can feel overwhelming and unsurmountable alone, but I’m here to help. In our sessions, I hope to provide a place where you feel safe, and somewhere we can work together to make a plan to make any stressors that you are dealing with manageable. I look forward to working with you.
I am currently taking on more short-term clients- I will be on maternity leave from the end of December through April! If you are looking for more short-term or EMDR trauma therapy, this would be an ideal timeline for us!
My name is Samantha Inzana, and I’m a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to supporting others on their journey toward emotional well-being and personal growth. I hold a master's in social work and have specialized in trauma-informed care. My preferred method of trauma therapy is EMDR, I see so many clients have a lot of success with this type of therapy.
I work with Perinatal anxiety and depression as well. If you are looking to grow your family, currently expecting, dealing with fertility issues, or are postpartum and needing support, I am here to help. This can be one of the hardest transitions in life, and sometimes we need additional support to help us through it.
I am a LPC in VA and PA. I love what I do and I love helping clients. I have 6 little rescue dogs and one old lady cat. I am trained and certified in many different modalities. I am a licensed professional counselor and board certified dance/movement therapist. We will work together to explore and express emotions, develop and expand communication skills and relationships, and find ways to continue overall growth within the therapeutic relationship. I focus on solution-focused and cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches, but employ additional options as needed, depending on each client's personal journey towards healing.
