Hi! I completed my degree at Capital Seminary & Graduate School, where I earned my Master’s degree in Family, Couple, and Marriage Counseling. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with a heart for walking alongside others while they work through various types of challenges and difficulties in life. I believe therapy is not a one size fits all situation, I work in tandem with my clients, I listen to their needs, and together, we create a treatment that will help you achieve your goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with getting to know each other, what you want to work on, identifying any challenges you are facing. We will then look at the goals you would like to achieve and steps to get you to these goals creating a plan that fits your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have had experience in many areas of life. I have experience working with those impacted by substance abuse, enmeshment/codependency, boundaries, trauma, relationship struggles, life changes and struggles, betrayal from unwanted sexual behaviors, depression, grief/loss, and anxiety. I have worked as a peer counselor for over ten years before obtaining my license. After licensure I started my career as a therapist so that I could reach and help more people.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with couples and individuals ages 18 and up. Everyone is valuable, worthy, and deserves to have support. I offer a safe, non-judgmental environment to work through any challenges you are facing, whether that be life changes, trauma, sexual integrity, betrayal trauma, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, relationship struggles or struggling with using boundaries.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral is one of many different treatment methods I use. It especially helps with Trauma, negative or unwanted thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

Strength-Based

I enjoy using Strength-based therapy with my clients because it helps them identify the strengths they already possess in life, have used or want to use, and it helps to reduce symptoms and increase their quality of life.

EMDR

I enjoy using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to assist individuals with processing and heal from past hurtful memories and experiences.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Together we will look at the struggles you experience while using acceptance and commitment therapy to work on combining strategies like mindfulness, acceptance and actions or behaviors.

Christian Counseling

I enjoy meeting with those who like to combine their Christian beliefs with talk therapy. We will look at your spiritual beliefs, concerns and life struggles. We will discuss how we can apply your faith along with therapeutic and ethical principles to assist you with navigating the challenges life brings.
