Welcome! I’m Shey, an IFS-informed therapist who wishes to help you navigate the journey from unhealed trauma to meaningful personal growth. I approach our work together with warmth, empathy, and evidence-based practices. We shouldn't feel like we need to wait for a crisis to put on our oxygen masks... I've done this too often myself, and learned the hard way. Practicing self-care should be a daily priority, so we're ready to show up for ourselves and for those we hold dear when it matters most. Validate the strength in your scars, tend to the wounds that remain, and fully embrace every part of who you are—authentically and unapologetically!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is about creating a space where you feel seen, respected, and not rushed. There’s no “right way” to begin—just a starting point for a deeper process that unfolds at your pace. The first session generally consists of: 1. Review Intake Information 2. Confidentiality and Logistics 3. Getting to Know You: I’ll ask about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and how you’ve been coping. You’re welcome to share at your own pace. 4. Introduction to the IFS Approach. You’ll get a brief overview of what IFS is: a way of understanding your inner world as made up of different “parts” (like an anxious part, a critical part, a people-pleasing part) and a core Self that can lead with calm and clarity. You won’t need to fully understand it all in the first session—just a gentle introduction. 5. Initial Exploration (if time allows): If you feel ready, we may begin noticing and getting curious about one or two parts that show up often. This can be as simple as naming what feelings or thoughts have been showing up lately.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is showing up as a real person in the room. I value authenticity deeply—whether that means laughing, crying, and expressive language. I don’t believe healing happens behind a clinical mask. It happens when we can both be real, present, and human together. I work hard to create a space where all emotional parts of you are welcome—especially the ones you’ve had to hide, silence, or carry alone for too long. I’m here to validate your experience, not fix or judge it. As someone who is IFS-informed, I see it as my role to bring grounded, compassionate Self energy into the room—not to lead your process for you, but to help you access your own inner wisdom.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

It's important for me to provide a safe space for survivors of emotional & psychological abuse. I specialize in supporting women who have experienced difficult marriages & relationships, helping them rebuild their lives. Understanding the impact such trauma can have on self-esteem & identity, I offer a non-judgmental setting where you can process your experiences, rediscover your inner strength, & restore your sense of self-worth. I also provide PRE-marital counseling to young couples, support for individuals facing depression, and hold space for those navigating the complexities of overlapping cultural backgrounds.
