I have had my struggles in life, and after seeking and recieving help, I fell in love with the idea of making a difference by challenging and supporting people in the therapeutic process. I specialize in Drug and alcohol treatment, mental health, trauma, and utilizing a strengths perspective.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Many psychologists agree that there is an inate desire for humans to become more intimate. I will work with you by listening, learning, and helping you to see other perspectives while self exploring and encouraging an healthy balance. You should be able to understand yourself in a deeper way, thus increasing an understanding of others while obtaing treatment goals.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I often use Narrative, Person Centered, Motivational Interviewing, and CBT theories although there are others that I include from my studies. I utilize treatment goals and regular reviews knowing that they can be changed or modified at the client's desire. I also use genograms, scheduling tools, behavioral modifivcation, and growth assignments.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a action therapist meaning I will challenge growth, at one's pace. I monitor and suggest having a balance in life so with any exploration of pain in trauma or emotional stress is in an effort to heal, improve, and seek peace. This is all done with a positive reinforcement approach.
