My belief is that the strongest clinical tool in therapy is the relationship between counselor and client, so I prioritize getting to know you, understanding how you want to live your life, and identifying the goals that matter most to you. I strive to create a collaborative, supportive space where we can work together to build insight, develop coping skills, and support meaningful change. As a gay male of color, I am part of two under-served communities, and I hold a strong respect for the responsibility and awareness that brings to my clinical work. At this time, I am only offering biweekly sessions with individual adult clients, allowing for consistent support while also giving space to apply and integrate skills between sessions.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. We will also review the intake paperwork and policies to make sure everyone is on the same page.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my ability to strengthen the therapeutic relationship between clinician and client. I believe in my clients and I advocate for my clients as much as I can. We will figure out those goals and we will work our hardest to meet them.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adults 18 and older, with a particular focus on LGBTQ+ individuals navigating identity development, relationships, and the impact of minority stress. I work well with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, emotional dysregulation, and challenges related to self-doubt, negative core beliefs, and interpersonal functioning. My approach supports clients who are open to both insight-oriented exploration and practical, skills-based interventions to improve day-to-day coping and emotional regulation. At this time, I offer services in biweekly therapy sessions, which can be a good fit for clients who are seeking consistent support while also working between sessions to apply skills and make meaningful progress.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilized Solution Focus Therapy to zero in on skills and solutions the client has utilized in the past in order to utilize those skills in the present.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and maladaptive behaviors. Through collaborative exploration, we examine the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and work to reframe cognitive distortions. I incorporate skill-building interventions such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and coping strategies tailored to each client’s needs. The goal is to support clients in developing more balanced thinking patterns and effective responses to improve overall functioning and emotional regulation.

Gender-affirming therapy

I provide gender-affirming care in a virtual therapeutic setting that prioritizes accessibility, safety, and emotional attunement. I work to create a validating, client-centered space where individuals feel supported in exploring and expressing their gender identity without judgment. My approach integrates awareness of intersectionality, including my lived experience as a gay male of color, while remaining focused on each client’s unique narrative and needs. Through this work, I support clients in navigating identity development, reducing minority stress, and strengthening resilience and self-determination in their daily lives.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based interventions to help clients increase present-moment awareness, reduce emotional reactivity, and build greater tolerance for distress. This includes teaching and practicing skills such as grounding, breath awareness, and nonjudgmental observation of thoughts and feelings. I emphasize the importance of consistent practice outside of sessions, as mindfulness skills are most effective when they are actively applied in daily life rather than only discussed conceptually. Through repetition and experiential use, clients develop stronger emotional regulation, improved focus, and a greater ability to respond rather than react to internal and external stressors.
