I believe that in order for counseling to be successful we must work equally as a team with forming goals, implementing interventions, and assessing progress. In my view, to make sense of overwhelming issues it is best to break them down. Feelings and thoughts affect our behaviors and how we make sense of the world. Therefore, we must address the impact those feelings and thoughts are having on our symptoms and actions. While also diving into the root of those thoughts and feelings.

You may have experienced therapy before and know what it is like to have a space to talk. My work offers something a little different. I work with women who are often the ones others depend on the mothers, caregivers, professionals, helpers, and women who have learned how to keep things moving even when they are carrying a lot themselves. You do not have to be in crisis to want therapy. You may be grieving, navigating a major life transition, feeling overwhelmed or anxious, questioning what no longer fits, or simply wanting a space where nothing is being asked of you. As a Black woman and therapist, I am especially intentional about creating space for Black women and other women of color to speak freely without having to translate or minimize their experiences. You do not need to arrive with everything figured out. We can begin with where you are.

Life has a way of nudging us to grow, pause, and ask deeper questions—especially when things feel hard or uncertain. No matter your age or stage, those moments are part of being human. My approach to counseling is eclectic and collaborative, grounded in creating a space where you can show up as you are and feel genuinely supported. Together, we’ll sort through what’s going on, build tools to help you cope, and find ways to move forward that feel meaningful and realistic for you. I work with people navigating burnout, midlife transitions, imposter syndrome, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I bring both clinical insight and a real, human presence to the work (and yes, sometimes that includes a little well-placed profanity). I’m especially passionate about understanding how our early family experiences shape the way we live, love, and work. I truly believe that when the right space is created, therapy can help you reconnect with yourself in powerful, lasting ways.

Additionally, the tools you use to navigate your experiences aid in the outcomes of your life. Peace is possible. Wellness is possible. Life will not stop happening in the journey; however, you get to decide and define what wellness is for you. Hello, I'm Robinette H. Dotson, MSEd, LCMHC, LPC, with two decades of experience assisting individuals to navigate life obstacles. I have a passion for assisting individuals with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, self-esteem, and life adjustments to achieve their overall vision of wellness via evidenced-based therapy and/or Christian faith-based therapy. Do you find yourself tired of having other people's worldviews and judgments imposed upon you? Do you feel that no matter how hard you try, nothing you do is ever enough? It is my goal to provide a safe space where clients can truly be themselves without fear of judgment. As a result, I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to therapy. I work to tailor each session to fit the needs of the person/persons in front of me. I work with couples and families to help them find peace and stability in their relationships. I also have extensive experience working with children and teenagers, having worked with them in various settings and roles. These experiences enable me to consider every aspect of their life, and how they affect the child and teen's well being and mental health. I am honored to work with my clients, and do not take the responsibility lightly. During our sessions I will offer compassion, hope and ways to deal with the issues you are facing.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with 30 years of experience in the mental health field and 14 years of experience operating my private practice. I support adults and couples experiencing anxiety, relationship distress, communication difficulties, parenting concerns, life transitions, diminished self-esteem, trauma-related concerns, and patterns that may be interfering with emotional well-being and healthier relationships. In couples counseling, I provide a balanced and respectful environment where each partner has an opportunity to feel heard. I help couples recognize recurring patterns, improve communication, navigate conflict more constructively, rebuild emotional safety and trust, and strengthen their connection. My role is not to take sides, but to help both partners understand the relationship dynamic and take meaningful responsibility for the changes within their control. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand the connections among their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify beliefs and thinking patterns that may contribute to anxiety, depressed mood, diminished self-esteem, relationship distress, or ineffective coping. Depending on the client’s needs, we may use guided reflection, thought records, structured exercises, role-playing, and between-session practice. With couples, CBT-informed strategies can also help partners examine assumptions, interpretations, expectations, and behavioral responses that contribute to recurring conflict. The goal is to develop greater awareness and practice healthier, more intentional responses. My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based practices with carefully selected holistic strategies to support insight, emotional regulation, personal growth, and sustainable behavioral change. I meet each client with compassion, curiosity, and respect, helping them identify the underlying beliefs and patterns connected to their current concerns.

Hello, my name is Stephen Pleasant, and I'm a psychotherapist for men. Why therapy for men? Well, because sometimes a man just needs a pork shoulder to cry on. That being said, I will also work with women as well. It’s a recognized human tendency for men to get “stuck” in their lives and to end up “settling” for the status quo when deep down they know they are capable of a great deal more. Here’s the truth; You are never “stuck” with your present circumstances. The Game of Life is a psychological and spiritual journey and winning at this game requires you to change your play and learn to think differently and do things in a new way. I help men break out from being “stuck” in life, resigned to producing results that are disappointing to them and others. My goal is to see transformative progress in men’s confidence, clarity, and self-expression, so that they may gain the fuller personal and work life they thought was beyond them.

I was raised in Memphis, TN and attended college in Nashville, TN where I received a BS degree. I got married while in college. We moved to Raleigh, NC after graduation. We've been married over 40 years. We have eight adopted children. I began working for the USPS once we moved to NC. After working there for 10 years, I realized that I wanted to change careers and fulfill the dream of helping others in a more practical way. I took a break from work and obtained a MA in Counseling. After receiving my LPC license, I worked in various settings within the counseling field. I have worked in Child Protective Services, worked for a couple of mental health clinics, held a private practice, worked in crisis intervention for 10 years in a hospital setting, returned to the clinic setting, and have once again opened a private practice. I am licensed as a LCMHC and LCAS in NC.

I respect the therapeutic process and value the hard work and introspection it requires. Therapy is something that I am passionate about. Everyday it provides me an opportunity to help others and learn from others. I am proud of the things I have learned, but even more humbled and optimistic of things that I continue to learn. One thing I would tell you is that a have a real passion and commitment to counseling and the therapeutic process. It is and has been what I love to do. I put tremendous value on the importance communication, language, and building a good therapeutic relationship or rapport. Its important to me that you, the patient feel safe, heard, and valued. My counseling style is very laid back and supportive, with a very non-judgmental stance. However, I am not afraid to roll my sleeves up and work hard. I believe in being supportive, motivating, and challenging. Its important that you have the opportunity to work hard, learn, grow, while developing realistic attainable and measurable goals.

I’m Arin. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 8 years of experience helping clients work through anxiety, depression and life transitions. Whether related to work, school, family, relationships, body image, and/or self esteem, I begin by working with my clients to identify their personal strengths and trigger(s). To this end, I tailor each session to specifically address who I’m with, where they are with their unique challenges, and where they are in their life. Hi! I’m Jada, a licensed therapist dedicated to helping individuals feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally balanced in their daily lives. I specialize in working with high-functioning people who may appear to have everything together on the outside, yet internally feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained. I understand how easy it can be to get stuck in cycles of overthinking, people-pleasing, and constantly prioritizing others while neglecting your own needs. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling exhausted, uncertain, or disconnected from themselves, and are ready to make meaningful changes. My approach is warm, supportive, and direct. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable being open and honest, while also helping you challenge patterns that no longer serve you. I believe therapy should not only provide insight but also offer practical tools you can apply in your everyday life. I am passionate about helping my clients build healthier boundaries, improve their relationships, and strengthen their sense of self so they can show up more confidently and intentionally in all areas of life.
