Counseling Background:
As your counselor, I am here to support you in making meaning, creating comfort, and uncovering resources to help you be your best self. Taking an evidenced-based, client-centered, and existentially-informed approach, I aim to provide a safe and supportive space where we can collaborate and work at your own pace to help you reach your goals. I work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds on issues including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, grief and loss, career transitions, and other mental health and life concerns.
Along with the many benefits of counseling come risks. Since counseling often involves discussing unpleasant or uncomfortable aspects of your life, you may experience feelings such as sadness, guilt, anger, frustration, loneliness, shame, and/or helplessness. Counseling allows you to process your feelings and often leads to better relationships, solutions to specific problems, and relief from feelings of distress. There are no guarantees of what you will experience. In order for you to achieve the most benefit from counseling, you will have to be engaged in your therapy sessions, committed, and do work outside of therapy to meet your personal goals.
My name is Ashley and I have been a therapist for 11 years now. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my pets. Therapy has a lot to do with the bond between the therapist and the client. Change really can happen if the relationship is there. Most treatment methods can be fairly applicable if you develop that relationship. If you have found that to be a struggle in the past you may of had a bad connection with your therapist.
Having been through a lot in my teenage years into adulthood, where I learned self-confidence, I have found that if I had someone to help me work through issues of stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and many other life factors I would have been successful sooner.
I have experience in diverse cultures where I have found I learn just as much from the people around me as they learn from me. Having an open mind and listening to my clients helps me to relate and understand them and develop a treatment plan or plan of action with them that makes them feel comfortable.
I have an extensive history helping individuals understand their career path, educational needs, and learning life skills. I have a passion for mental health because of the family history with depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, and substance abuse, and it drives me to want to help others.
I believe it is important to empower individuals, couples, and families towards a sense of normalcy and autonomy, and developing skills to meet the goals they have for their lives. Taking a holistic approach to counseling I take into consideration the whole person and stive to build a good working relationship with each client to better understand them, helping them feel at ease at a time that may feel stressful and awkward, and helping them navigate life's challenges.
In my free time I like to go to the beach, take a walk in nature, and enjoy spending time with my children and 2 dogs. I also enjoy learning, reading, and going to amusement parks when time allows.

Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns.
To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress.
My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki.
Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.

I specialize in working with adults (18+) who are experiencing anxiety, attachment issues, depression, grief/loss, infertility, midlife transitions, parenthood struggles, and perinatal/postpartum mood disorders.

I help individuals safely process their emotions and experiences to learn practical, strength-based coping strategies and techniques for symptom management/reduction.
I believe working through some of the most difficult times in our life requires additional support. I recognize that it takes courage to seek help, and in our work together we'll utilize your strengths to help you make the change you're looking for.

A Big Hello to you. You are scanning all these profiles. Looking for something to stand out to make you say,"I will go with this one." It is daunting but you have made it this far. Here is the tip. Your choice is not terminal. It is absolutely ok to try multiple therapists to see who gets you the best. Who understands you the best. After each session, you should feel lighter. You may not recall all that was said, but you will note how you feel. Did you feel heard? Understood? Did the therapist talk to me like they were reading a book or did it sound like they really got me? When you get the right one, those questions will be answered with a firm, Yes.
Please Note: I only provide Talk Therapy in my practice. If you are looking for letters for work, ESA, Social Security, FMLA, Family Court, etc., unfortunately I cannot help. You will need a psychological evaluation by a forensic psychologist. This agency does not provide assessments, letters for claims or appearances in court.
Hi! I help clients reconnect with their inner voice and rebuild confidence in living an authentic, meaningful life. Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the joy in their everyday moments. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping you understand yourself more deeply so you can move toward the life you want.
I specialize in supporting individuals navigating social anxiety, relationship stress, life transitions, and those on the autism spectrum. I also enjoy working with clients who identify as highly sensitive, people-pleasers, or chronic “overthinkers.”
I appreciate when clients are open to personal growth, even if they’re not sure where to start. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way, build tools for emotional clarity, and create space for genuine fulfillment and well-being.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor based in North Carolina. I received my Masters from East Carolina University. I am a first time mom to a little boy that just turned one. Navigating motherhood has been my newest hobby but I also love walking outside, listening to audiobooks & music, fishing, trying new food, cooking, writing/journaling, and spending time with my family/friends.
My goal is to assist you in developing your vision and journey in becoming your best and desired self. I am person centered and enjoy applying creative strategies in my practice; such as the use of art, music-videos, narrative mediums and activities. I believe that everyone is capable of change. I have extensive experience with working with adolescents, adults, and families. I am an active supporter of persons and groups of varied cultural backgrounds and individuals in the LGBTQ+ community.
Imagine life is like a journey you control entirely, but you feel stuck. The choices you make dictate the obstacles you face, and they can be tricky. Life’s journey comes with no instruction pamphlet or ready-made companions. A path unfolds, and you can trust that guidance is available along the way. As you journey, you begin to see things you want, potential companions, places you want to explore, and tools you can use to make travel simpler. There are so many choices to make, with no time to stop and contemplate the best decision; you have to keep going, making choices every day about everything. Decisions and deadlines do not wait, but support is here to help you navigate.
The consequences of decisions do not wait for preparation or readiness. Age does not determine how hard life can be, nor does it assess reality. Whether you are age 5 or 95, waking up each day and continuing life’s journey can be challenging. Seeking support can make this journey easier, and I am here to help you through it.
I believe life’s tools are within us: self-actualization, self-trust, coping strategies, and the willingness to grow. This can foster hope and reassurance for toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, families, and the LGBTQIAPK community. Online Counseling Services are available upon request.

I believe in therapy because I have seen the value it brings both as therapist and as a client myself.
Thank you for considering me, I look forward to working with you. :-)
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and in case you’re unsure of what that is, it means I have earned a Bachelor Degree in Social Work a Master of Social Work and once I completed Graduate school I was then required to complete 3,000 hours of clinical work experience under supervision for another two years after those supervised clinical hours I had to successfully sit for ASWB Clinial Level exam. Being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker not only means that I am passionate about Mental Health, but I am also focused on your environment, meaning I look at external factors that impact your situation. When I started Graduate School, I went in with the notion of studying Psychology until I came across the Social Work Program, after doing some extensive research into the profession, I decided that is what I wanted to do. I learned I can help individuals with their Mental Health as well as take a holistic approach to address any barriers they may face while working towards their goals. I absolutely LOVE being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and helping individuals reach goals they’ve set for themselves.
