Maybe you've had some difficult experiences or have battled things like worry, sadness, or addiction. If so, I am glad you are here! You don't have to go through these things alone. I am a licensed mental health counselor with a passion for caring for people! I have worked in a variety of mental health settings, including mobile crisis response, teen residential treatment, and providing therapy services for parents and children involved in the child welfare system. My primary specialty is working with individuals who have lived through traumatic experiences or who are impacted by historical or cultural trauma. I also love working with people who have a variety of other goals, needs, or challenges. It is important for me to work with my clients, not just direct how they do things. I will do my best to learn your preferences, beliefs, and background, so we can work together to help you reach your goals. Hi Folx, my name is Daja and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 8 years in clinical practice. I began my career providing family therapy to children, adolescents and families in rural NC communities. From there, I transitioned to a large multi-state psychiatric and behavioral health outpatient practice where I served as both a psychotherapist and Regional Director for three years. After transitioning from that role, I worked in clinical care management with a large corporate insurance company, serving members with complex clinical care needs. As a therapist, I’ve focused my work on supporting folks better manage mental health conditions, cultivate greater joy in their lives and improve their relationships. I sincerely enjoy learning folks’ stories and assisting them as they navigate new and old life challenges/transitions.

Hello! I believe that adversities don’t have to define who you are, rather, they can promote the resiliency necessary to develop who you’ll be and the story you’ll share. As a licensed mental health therapist and addiction specialist trained in EMDR with over 5 years of experience, my hope is to join you as you pursue the process of writing your growth and resiliency story. I work alongside my clients to cultivate a tailored approach to treatment through the incorporation of elements from multiple psychotherapy schools of thought and modalities. I will always show up authentically with a balance of compassion and directness to offer. If interested in working together, please do not hesitate to reach out. I would be more than happy to schedule a consultation to collaboratively talk through what brings us together and how I may be able to best support your mental health needs and therapy goals.

Let’s not sugar coat it! Starting therapy can feel like a HUGE, exciting and terrifying step forward. Let’s not focus on the mountain, let’s focus on what’s right in front of you! You don't have to have it all together, nor do you have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I’m Perleen Daroowalla and I aim to create a safe space where we can be straightforward and honest with each other while working through life’s challenges. I model the same honesty, accountability, and responsibility that I encourage in my clients. Therapy begins with where you are now, factors in where you have been, and builds a plan for where you want to go. You are the expert on your life! The therapeutic relationship is a collaborative process. Together, we will create an individualized plan based off where you want your life to be in a month, 6 months, and/or a year from now. I offer creative and realistic strategies to assist you in tackling life’s challenges. You'll leave sessions with skills you can actively use to accomplish your goals.

I am a bilingual clinical social worker dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexities of trauma, depression, and anxiety. My practice is built on a fundamental belief: you possess the internal power to reflect on your life, understand yourself from new perspectives, and integrate meaningful changes. With a deep clinical background in PTSD, domestic violence, and sexual assault, I provide a survivor-centered space that prioritizes your safety and agency. I am also passionate about psychedelic-assisted therapy and am trained in harm reduction and integration, offering a grounded, non-judgmental approach to processing non-ordinary states of consciousness. Howdy! My name is Russell and I look forward to meeting you and working together! Taking the step to seek out therapy services can be the biggest hurdle to overcome, yet here you are. You made it! Even exploring options for therapy demonstrates the motivation that you have for positive change in your life. I enjoy taking a collaborative approach to working with all of my clients because you are the expert in your own life and know yourself the best. I am here as a support while you discover more about yourself. I am a LCMHC (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor) with the state of North Carolina. I have a background working with various ages and demographics in a variety of settings. This includes children aged 6+ to pre-teens, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I have worked in inpatient hospital settings, assisted with Intensive In-Home services for at-risk youth and their families, as well as with clients in traditional office-based environments providing outpatient therapy. My clinical expertise and the most frequent concerns that I help clients with are anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger management, relationship issues, family issues, and phase of life concerns. I tend to naturally gravitate toward adolescents who are struggling with navigating their lives, however, I enjoy working with all individuals regardless of age or background since life is a struggle for all of us. I tend to take a laid-back, relaxed (but professional) stance when working with clients to make the therapeutic process as welcoming and comfortable as possible!

I help high-functioning adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or constantly “on.” On the outside, things may look fine—career, responsibilities, relationships—but internally, you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, burnout, or self-doubt that won’t turn off. My clinical background includes training in fast-paced, high-expectation environments where effective, evidence-based care was essential. I use approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based strategies to help you understand patterns, build practical skills, and create meaningful change. I began my clinical work as a Behavioral Health Officer in the U.S. Army, where I worked in high-stress operational settings. While that experience gave me a strong understanding of pressure, burnout, and performance demands, my work today is focused on helping adults in all walks of life navigate similar challenges. My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded—I aim to create a space where you can be yourself while doing real, meaningful work.

On paper, your life may look like it’s together. You show up for work, take care of the people around you, and handle your responsibilities. But underneath that, you may be carrying anxiety, burnout, loneliness, relationship stress, or the constant pressure to keep it all together. If you’ve spent years being “the strong one,” therapy can feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to perform, have all the answers, or pretend you’re okay. My style is warm, conversational, and direct. I’ll meet you with compassion while also helping you recognize the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together we’ll build practical tools, increase insight, and create meaningful change that extends beyond our sessions. I enjoy working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, boundaries, dating and relationships, family dynamics, burnout, and major life transitions. I serve clients throughout North Carolina and Illinois via secure telehealth.

They may have sought therapy in the past and have become disillusioned, for whatever reason. The foundation of therapy is the therapeutic alliance. Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns. To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress. My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki. Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and in case you’re unsure of what that is, it means I have earned a Bachelor Degree in Social Work a Master of Social Work and once I completed Graduate school I was then required to complete 3,000 hours of clinical work experience under supervision for another two years after those supervised clinical hours I had to successfully sit for ASWB Clinial Level exam. Being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker not only means that I am passionate about Mental Health, but I am also focused on your environment, meaning I look at external factors that impact your situation. When I started Graduate School, I went in with the notion of studying Psychology until I came across the Social Work Program, after doing some extensive research into the profession, I decided that is what I wanted to do. I learned I can help individuals with their Mental Health as well as take a holistic approach to address any barriers they may face while working towards their goals. I absolutely LOVE being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and helping individuals reach goals they’ve set for themselves.

Yes! If you use Optum you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have Optum you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
