Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina. I work with individuals including children and adolescents. I work with women on a variety of issues including perinatal mental health issues. I have experience in hospital crisis intervention and in the school setting. My background in child development gives me a unique perspective when working with adolescents.
In our first session, we will get to know one another and discuss what is bringing you into therapy.
I have worked in crisis intervention in a hospital setting, as well as in a school setting with children and adolescents. My background in both make me uniquely equipped to work with individuals on making positive changes.
I work with adolescents, young adults and women experiencing a variety of issues including life transitions and relationship problems.
I use CBT to help clients identify patterns and behaviors in their lives that affect their mood and functioning in order to develop new skills to make positive changes.
I use play therapy with clients, especially children, to help work through emotions that might be difficult to put into words.
I use relational therapy to help clients address their past experiences and the influence they have on current relationships and functioning.
