Thank you for taking the time to take a look at my profile! Therapy should be uniquely tailored to each person. I work with clients to identify patterns of behavior that may have contributed to difficulties in relationships—with family, friends, or at work or school—and help find ways to create positive change. We learn to change our perspective on life, our past, our entire reality, and recognize that we really can control how we think and what we think about.
One of the primary purposes of coming to therapy is to be heard. I am here to listen and work with you to come up with a solution to the problem or issues you may be having.
I've worked with many clients coping with anxiety and depression, in particular, which has led to the development of a different approach that combines parts of a few different proven techniques. This approach is designed to change your perspective on your mental illness and learn new ways to cope, adjust, and adapt.
We work together to find what works!
Personally, I have been managing numerous forms of anxiety (including, at times, OCD and PTSD), depression, and bipolar II disorder since my early teen years, with about a decade battling addiction. Thankfully, I had the support of my family, my wife, my two daughters, and our multiple rescue pups. They're all the motivation and inspiration I need!

Hi, I’m Jelysa—founder of Take 2 Counseling, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, wife, and mom of two. Being a therapist is a huge part of who I am, but so is my family. Juggling real-life responsibilities, caring for others, and trying to stay grounded in the middle of it all gives me a deep understanding of the daily pressures many of us face—especially young women who are trying to find their footing in a fast-paced world. Growing up as the daughter of a therapist, I was surrounded by empathy, connection, and emotional awareness from an early age. My mom showed me that healing doesn’t come from being perfect—it comes from being present, making space for growth, and learning through our mistakes. She continues to be my role model for resilience and restoration.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 12 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with diverse populations and individuals of all ages. I also supported individuals across the lifespan. I enjoy seeing my clients succeed and heal. I currently finished a four month training on Maternal Mental Health and will like to continue helping mothers through their motherhood journey.
My experience has taught me the profound value of truly connecting with individuals—walking alongside them as they heal, grow, and realize their full potential. This insight has been instrumental in helping clients develop effective strategies to overcome a wide range of mental health challenges, addictive behaviors, and life transitions, as well as concerns related to both mental and physical well-being.
I take a holistic, strengths-based approach to therapy, integrating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), yoga, mindfulness, and breathwork. I firmly believe that each client’s unique story should shape the therapeutic journey.
Clients often leave sessions feeling empowered—with greater confidence, self-esteem, and the motivation to face life’s challenges head-on. My hope is that each person walks back into the world thinking, “I know how to do this day.”

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience helping adults navigate life's challenges, transitions, and opportunities for growth. I believe that every person has a story, and sometimes the stories we tell ourselves can keep us feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about the future. That's why I call myself The Story Shifter—because healing often begins when we discover new ways of understanding our experiences and ourselves.
Together, we will explore the experiences that have shaped your life with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment. As we gain insight into old patterns and beliefs, new possibilities can emerge. By shifting perspective, we can find meaning in difficult experiences, reconnect with our strengths, and create a more fulfilling path forward. My approach is holistic and integrative, honoring the connection between mind and body. I help clients find clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of purpose and well-being.

As a mental health professional in NJ and PA, I have been working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and PTSD for 8+ years now. I believe that we can work on improving physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of your life. Together, we will figure out your best qualities, strengths, and abilities to realize your goals. I began my career working in university clinics, psychiatric hospitals, community mental health facilities and private practice serving individuals with mood disorders, attention difficulties, persistent severe mental illness disorders, and obsessions and compulsions. I further have experience working with addictions, trauma, codependencies, and relationship struggles.
You hold it together for everyone — at work, at home, in your relationships — but the weight of it is getting harder to carry. Maybe anxiety keeps your mind racing at 2 a.m., or you're stuck in patterns with substances or behaviors that started as coping but now feel like a trap. Maybe grief, trauma, or a painful chapter you thought you'd moved past keeps surfacing when you least expect it.
I'm Rovin Chonielall, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Addiction Specialist with 15 years of experience helping adults find their footing when life feels unmanageable. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction and recovery, and the kind of emotional exhaustion that builds up when you've been running on autopilot for too long.
My approach is direct, holistic, and grounded in what actually works. I draw on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you build skills for managing intense emotions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge the thought patterns keeping you stuck, and Motivational Interviewing to help you connect with your own reasons for change — especially when motivation feels low. I also incorporate mindfulness and solution-focused techniques, because sustainable growth happens when you learn to be present with yourself, not just push through.
What my clients tell me is that therapy with me feels different — honest without being harsh, structured without being rigid. I'm not going to just nod along. I'll meet you where you are, ask the questions that matter, and help you build a life that actually reflects who you want to be.
If you're ready to stop going through the motions and start doing the real work, I'd like to help.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the emotional impact of chronic stress. Some are coping with a recent loss or major life change. Others have spent years putting their own needs aside and are finally realizing that what they’ve been carrying is taking a toll.

I hold two graduate degrees from Lindenwood University in the metro St. Louis area with post graduate training in the areas of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Most importantly I am a good listener. If I do not understand, I will ask. I believe in becoming uncomfortable to accept growth and change.
I am patient and kind, but I will hold you accountable if necessary. I am here for you.
I will do my best to understand what your needs are in order and develop a treatment plan based on that order: emotional, physical, reminders, etc... and how to be ready to move through the week ahead.
A goal or an intention or again whatever word you will choose to use will be set, as to see success in small steps.
