HI! I'm Donna. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, (LPC) practicing in New Jersey. I received my master's degree at Temple University and have been working in behavioral health settings since 1996. I worked in a medical facility treating in-patient and out-patient clients, an adolescent group home and an elementary school as the school counselor. I help children, young adults, adults, couples and families.
One of my favorite quotes is, "Nothing great is ever achieved without much endurance." In life, we go through things. Some are good and some are not so good. You made it this far, so that means you have something to work on and you are willing to see if a therapist can help. I have worked with people of all ages, genders, religions, races and sexual orientations. No two people are the same and all people deserve to be seen as the individual whom they are. Therapy may not always be easy, but I will treat you with respect and honesty. This is your platform. I will go at your pace so that you are comfortable, but I will challenge you. Together, we will set a plan and work towards achieving your goals.
A therapist is someone who joins you in the darkness with a light to help you find your own way out. Reaching out for help is not a sign of weakness, but is a brave act of self love. Congratulations on taking the first steps toward self improvement and healing. I believe you are the expert on your own life and counseling can be utilized as a tool to gain clarity, heal childhood wounds and offer fresh perspectives. My therapeutic approach is trauma informed and person-centered while utilizing, unconditional positive regard.
I’m a trauma‑informed, somatic and Brainspotting therapist who supports adults who are high‑functioning on the outside but carrying a lot internally. My work centers communities of color, caregivers, helping professionals, and anyone who has spent years being “the strong one” with very few places to land. In our sessions, you don’t have to perform or hold everything together.
I use a calm, attuned, body‑based approach that helps you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and release what your nervous system has been holding. Whether you’re navigating trauma, grief, burnout, or identity‑based stress, I offer a space that is culturally responsive, collaborative, and grounded in real healing—not just talking about it.
If you’re ready to feel more regulated, more connected, and more like yourself again, I’m here to walk with you.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), as well as a Certified Life Coach and Divorce Mediator. As a trauma-informed therapist, I specialize in helping individuals and families heal from unresolved conflicts, past trauma, and relationship challenges.
I also have extensive experience supporting those struggling with substance use and gambling addiction, guiding them toward lasting recovery and healthier ways of living. Beyond recovery, I am passionate about helping people discover meaning, purpose, and direction in their lives.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that every person has the strength to create positive change. Whether you’re seeking healing, personal growth, or tools to overcome life’s challenges, I am here to walk alongside you.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has dedicated my professional life to the advancement of the human species. What do I mean by the advancement of the human species? Well, no one ever taught us how to be mindful of thought patterns; to be aware of our own scars and biases, no one gave us an instruction book when it comes to dealing with our emotional life and the emotional lives of others. Scary, those big feelings can be. Unless, you have a plan. That is where therapy comes in. We work together to develop plans to assure you accomplish the goals you set for yourself.

Hello
I often hear clients say, “I don’t even know where to start” when they first begin therapy. I understand that feeling. The first step is to make sense of what’s happened in your life in order to start to tackle the issues and ultimately make some changes.
I am a seasoned therapist with 17 years experience helping adult clients find their own inner wisdom and strength to resolve issues in their lives. It feels burdensome to rely on friends and family to help us through difficult life challenges. The greatest joy for me as a therapist is to be able to provide a safe space where clients feel unconditionally accepted and heard without judgement. Therapy is a collaborative process where the client and therapist work together to explore and identify barriers which prevent resolution. I believe that the therapeutic alliance between client and provider is key to a successful outcome. I use psychodynamic, solution focused and client centered approaches to help clients gain insight, identify barriers and foster empowerment to make changes and resolve issues.

My clinical focus is to support my clients in the healing process to develop and enhance the most authentic version of themselves and to live a well-balanced life.

Hi Everyone! I am a bilingual licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years experience. I am Peruvian-American born and raised in NYC, living in NJ. My practice is psychodynamic with adherence to CBT and trauma focused models. We look at mind - body connections. We look at coping mechanisms, obviously therapeutic, but also what has worked in the past that are healthy.
Life can feel overwhelming when trauma, anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges take center stage. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as a whole person—not just a collection of symptoms. I work collaboratively with clients to help them make meaning of their experiences, reconnect with their values, and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. I specialize in trauma and have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use concerns. I also work with couples and families, supporting healthier communication, deeper understanding, and more secure connections. Whether you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, or simply seeking clarity and growth, I aim to meet you where you are with compassion and respect.
My approach is rooted in humanistic and existential therapy, emphasizing personal agency, self-awareness, and the belief that change is possible—even in the midst of pain. I take an integrative approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), grief work, and solution-focused interventions, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals.
Healing is not about “fixing” yourself—it’s about understanding yourself more deeply and learning new ways to relate to your experiences. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can explore challenges, build resilience, and move forward with intention.

I have been working in the mental health field since 2018, serving as a therapist, clinical supervisor, and director of clinical programming. My experience includes working directly with clients while also mentoring other clinicians and developing evidence-based treatment programs. I have advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-focused modalities, and I frequently integrate mindfulness-based interventions into my work. My approach is compassionate, practical, and collaborative, helping clients build insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and create meaningful, lasting change.
A few moments to introduce myself. Professionally I am known as
I. Barry Bell, Ph.D. I am a 73-year-old, male, Caucasian Clinical Psychologist who has been in practice for 39 years. I have worked in a variety of settings, in both in-patient psychiatric hospitals and out-patient clinical settings. I have also maintained my own private practice from September 2016 to the present.
Prior to receiving my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1985, I trained extensively as a Modern Dancer for 10 years. During these years I became deeply involved in emerging positive psychologies and Eastern/Buddhist/Taoist studies. This was the beginning of the interface between what is now referred to as Mindfulness based approaches to psychotherapy and Eastern philosophies, especially Buddhist. Mindfulness approaches to psychotherapy are now at the forefront of evidence-based interventions.
I have spent more than the past 20 years studying and practicing the interface between psychotherapy and personal psychological growth. Over the years I have integrated various theoretical approaches, including depth psychodynamic theories. I will be happy to discuss my approach with you further should you choose to contact me to consider engaging in psychotherapeutic work with me.
My path to counseling has been shaped by more than 20 years of experience working in
universities and nonprofits across the U.S., including two decades in academic medicine and
biomedical research administration. As a former biomedical researcher and a leader in administrative research operations, I understand the pressures of high-achievement environments, the complexity of
navigating institutional systems, and the emotional toll that can come with careers in science,
healthcare, and technology. This unique perspective allows me to connect deeply with students,
academics, and professionals working in demanding fields.
My name is William Dougherty, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania, providing therapy to clients statewide through telehealth. I specialize in working with adults facing challenges related to anxiety, stress, and addictions. My therapeutic approach incorporates a range of techniques, predominantly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.
With a background in English literature, I bring a decidedly post-modern perspective to my therapeutic approach. One of the concepts I utilize is Narrative Therapy, which encourages and compassionately challenges people to be mindful of the story they’re telling in order to better utilize their strengths. This theory acknowledges the power of language, in that not only does the language we use reflect how we feel, it also affects how we feel. Therefore, the words we choose to use can help to manifest the changes we hope to bring about. The idea is to encourage the use of more positive, as opposed to negative, words while telling our life story. This approach has been remarkably effective in helping clients confront difficulties and bring about lasting and meaningful change.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice and accept insurance. I provide therapeutic services to diverse populations, including couples, families, individuals, and groups. I specialize in couples therapy and work with couples to reduce communication barriers, resolve conflicts, and address intimacy issues.
Complex relationship dynamics can cause considerable distress. Therapy provides a supportive resource for couples, individuals, and families, offering empathy, understanding, and attentive listening. I am committed to assisting you and your family in achieving your personal and relational objectives.
I also offer lower rates on a sliding scale ($50 - $60) with Student MFTs under my supervision. Please contact me directly or via my website for more information.
Insurance:
Individuals, couples, and families: Services not clinically indicated are not always covered by insurance if the primary client/patient is not experiencing a medical necessity. Here's a few examples:
1. Most insurance plans don’t cover marriage counseling because it’s not considered a "medical necessity." That doesn’t mean therapy isn’t valuable, just that insurance companies tend to focus on diagnosed mental health conditions rather than relationship issues.
2. Life coaching or career coaching — focused on professional development rather than treating a mental health condition
3. General stress management without a diagnosed disorder — for example, “I just feel stressed” without a clinical diagnosis
4. Self-improvement or personal growth sessions aimed at building confidence, public speaking skills, or lifestyle changes
5. Vague or exploratory therapy without a clear diagnosis or treatment plan
6. Non-essential wellness or “feel-good” therapy not tied to a specific mental health need

Hi, I’m Jelysa—founder of Take 2 Counseling, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, wife, and mom of two. Being a therapist is a huge part of who I am, but so is my family. Juggling real-life responsibilities, caring for others, and trying to stay grounded in the middle of it all gives me a deep understanding of the daily pressures many of us face—especially young women who are trying to find their footing in a fast-paced world. Growing up as the daughter of a therapist, I was surrounded by empathy, connection, and emotional awareness from an early age. My mom showed me that healing doesn’t come from being perfect—it comes from being present, making space for growth, and learning through our mistakes. She continues to be my role model for resilience and restoration.
