I have been in private practice since 2022 and have practiced therapy since 2016. Therapy with me is collaborative, reflective, and rooted in the belief that healing isn't about fixing you, it's about honoring the wisdom of your story and gently unburdening what no longer serves you. My goal is to offer you a space where you feel emotionally safe, empowered, and deeply seen. Too often, we are taught to suppress our emotions and keep going. We may feel that addressing our past and daily challenges are too painful to conquer. I completely understand and agree that taking the steps to heal can seem daunting. I am here to not only support you in the process, but to protect you while doing so. It takes courage, commitment and perseverance to break the chains that may hinder you from being the person you desire. The name of my practice is Truth in Healing, LLC, because I am aware of and acknowledge all it takes to go on this journey of self-healing.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is about getting to know one another and seeing how it feels to be in the same space together. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what's been weighing on you, and what you're hoping for. I'll listen closely, and together we'll start to build a space that feels emotionally safe and real.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My duality and authenticity are my greatest strengths. I am a very down-to-earth person and my therapeutic style is casual with appropriate boundaries and competence. My clients grow a healthy, organic comfort with me rather quickly which positively impacts their overall experience and treatment.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal client is someone who is willing and ready to put in effort. Therapy is not easy and is not always a pleasant experience but it is always worthwhile! I find that I connect best with client's who are able to trust and lean into our relationship as a tool for success, is candidly honest and is committed to their treatment. Having a sense of humor is an added bonus as laughter and light heartedness is often called upon : )
EMDR
I am trained in EMDR and eligible for certification. I am a somatic therapist and utilize EMDR as my foundation treatment method due to its effectiveness with client's with trauma history.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have used CBT since the start of my career to support client in identifying and shifting their response to life stressors and internalized beliefs.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
The use of mindfulness and grounding techniques are paramount and are used in conjunction with all forms of interventions for a more holistic approach.
