Hello! I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts. I have my BA in psychology and MA in forensic mental health counseling. I have worked with several mental health organizations including emergency services, inpatient psychiatric hospital, and treatment based prison. I have worked with a variety of individuals experiencing acute mental health episodes, addiction, grief, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, etc. Since I have worked with a diverse client population, I have been exposed to how mental health conditions can present and how those mental health conditions can be stabilized. My main approaches to working with clients are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Existential Therapy because they are goal oriented. I believe it’s important for each client to set goals for themselves and be able to discuss these goals in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Reaching out for help in the form of therapy is not an easy thing to do as many can attest, but by reading this biography, you are taking the first step in getting help for yourself or a loved one. At times, life offers many struggles and obstacles that can be difficult to overcome alone. Engaging in therapy will provide opportunities to explore and process the thoughts and feelings that prevent you from living your best life. Though the thought of therapy may be intimidating and even nerve-wrecking for some, I believe once a person finds the right therapist, they find a trusting confidant who seeks to understand and problem solve.

I'm self aware, having chosen a pathway of self exploration to become my best self. I am a survivor of my story, who has always known the importance of never surrendering to any situation life hands me. My resilience and positivity have guided my decisions to choose fighting like hell to be the greatest version of myself. I live passionately with growing self esteem as a result of having the highest priority on SELF LOVE. My treatment approach will always be action focused. Many clients that I have mentored with eating compulsions have had favorable outcomes as a result of our therapeutic relationship. I am a survivor of acting out with food, including a period of 17 years of battling bulimia, and a lifetime of searching for PEACE from food addiction. Since October 2004 I have lived in recovery, with no episodes of bulimic behaviors, and have a healthy relationship with food beyond my wildest dreams. I have found the PEACE I have been searching for which motivates me to help others to live in a healthy body. I have shared this struggle to allow you a deeper understanding of my personal story. I believe everything I have survived has provided life lessons that have humbled me and allowed me to see the humanity in everyone. We all possess so much untapped power that , if accessed, can help us achieve our goals and become the best version of ourselves! I have the skills to help you too, I believe that is why I'm here.

When the burdens of our circumstances, relationships, or daily lives, in general, begin to weigh on our shoulders, finding help in a safe, therapeutic, non-judgmental space can begin to ease our heavy loads. My name is Caitlin Pierce, and I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist with 15 years in the field. I have spent the bulk of my career working with families and individuals in both office and in-home settings. I have a history of training and practice in trauma-focused counseling, relationships (family, marriage, parenting), stress/anxiety management, and I also am a certified personal trainer and nutrition specialist. With this specialization, I can support wellness and health-related concerns such as self-esteem, body image, and making lifestyle changes like stress-reduction or shifting priorities. My favorite part of being a counselor is watching the people I work with begin to see a new "story" emerge or a shift in thinking around their presented problems. I like to help clients unlock the parts of their minds that remain stuck in a particular way of thinking or feeling that keeps them from feeling their best. I believe that all of us are capable of change, whether we're 18 or 85, and with healthy support and guidance, there is hope to feel better. I aim to bring my clients a conversational, personal, and humanistic counseling style. I look forward to working together!

Hello, I’m Carolyn, a Licensed Clinical Independent Social Worker (LICSW) at Grow Therapy. I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for support—whether starting therapy for the first time or finding a new therapist—can feel like a big step. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable, supported, and truly heard. I work collaboratively with my clients to explore what brings you to therapy and to identify meaningful goals we can work toward together. I strive to meet you where you are and support you at your own pace throughout the process. One of the most meaningful compliments I’ve received was from a client who shared that I made them feel “so special.” That reflects the heart of my approach—I lead with compassion and aim to help each person feel valued, supported, and understood, especially during difficult times. You may also occasionally see my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Chloe, who sometimes joins sessions to provide a little extra comfort. You are not alone. As a licensed Psychologist, I first prioritize learning not only why a person is contacting me, but also to be able to relate to that person based on their individual needs and what are their expectations of therapy. I believe that we all need to have a sense of purpose or meaningfulness in our lives, something that our thoughts, emotions and life experiences contribute to the "heart" of our personalities. The process of healing from the challenges of life begins with a search for truth about our beliefs, habits and relationships. Physical health is affected by our mental health through the complex interactions between the brain and bodily functions. Interventions I use in my sessions include Cognitive Therapy, CBT, DBT and ACT. As a Psychologist, I have worked in private practice, long term care, and forensic and psychiatric hospitals. Even though these patient populations are diverse, the common denominator is the human "heart". My sessions work to connect a person's sense of meaning in life to help them overcome anxiety, depression and a loss of personal identity in this complex world.

After many years working in science, I got training in psychotherapy: first in psychoanalysis, then in powerful, evidence-based emotion-focused approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFCT/EFIT), AEDP and EMDR. This blend lets me speak to both your heart and your mind. Together we’ll figure out what approach works best for you—whether it’s deep exploration, emotional processing, or a more targeted skills based approach. My goal in our sessions is to create a safe space between us—where you can feel truly secure enough to explore your own way of connecting to the world, to others, and to yourself. I want this to be a place where being vulnerable doesn't feel risky, where emotions can come up without judgment, and where you get to practice being seen and heard exactly as you are. From there, we build the confidence and skills to carry that sense of safety into your everyday relationships and life. If that sounds like something you'd like to try, I'm ready whenever you are. Hi, my name is Bradley Levy LICSW and have 20 years of experience in the field. Are there changes that either you want to or need to act upon? If things feel too difficult to change and you need guidance, support, direction, and empathic listening you might be a great candidate for individual therapy from me. What separates me from other clinicians is my versatility. Throughout my career, I have worked at every level of care and every population. From individual therapy/group therapy to intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs to being the clinical director at a locked psychiatric hospital, I have seen pretty much everything. My main objective in all cases is to try and build a trusting rapport/relationship in which no judgment is made and an atmosphere where one can feel safe talking about difficult issues, their current level or desire to change through motivational interviewing and CBT. Over the years I have come to develop areas of extreme expertise such as addiction (either oneself or a loved one), co-occurring disorders or dual diagnosis, dealing with any diagnosis from adjustment disorders to more complex or serious mental illness which includes major depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, and the conditions that fall within these categories. In addition, I can offer case management services, assist with paperwork, or find the right treatment if need a higher level of care.

As a therapist, I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and autism, as well as people navigating trauma and chronic PTSD. I work with adults and teenagers, and I recently expanded my practice to include couples. This work is particularly meaningful to me because I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult woman myself. Receiving a late diagnosis can bring tremendous relief and understanding, while also opening the door to grief for the years spent without the support, language, or understanding you deserved. There can be an inherent trauma in being neurodivergent in a world that often asks us to adapt ourselves rather than adapting to us. Many neurodivergent people have histories of masking, shame, rejection, chronic misunderstanding, and feeling like something is fundamentally wrong with them. Therapy can be a space to unpack those experiences and develop a deeper, more compassionate understanding of yourself.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
