I attended and graduated from Sunset International School of Preaching in Lubbock, Texas, in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies. I also graduated with a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Cambridge College of Massachusetts in 2006. I am a licensed psychotherapist in private practice in Springfield, MA. My name is Ryan, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I graduated with my MS in Clinical Mental Health Care at Bay Path University in 2018. I have worked in an outpatient setting, as a therapist, since the fall of 2018. Prior to completing my program, I gained valuable experience through Crisis services as a clinician and support counselor.  I have worked with people of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds. 
My therapeutic approach is eclectic with attention to client centered, a more holistic approach which encompasses the entire body as we tend to suffer as a whole being. I want to work with those to reintegrate those parts. People often do not realize the power of our thoughts and how it can negatively impact our overall wellbeing. I often tell people that our brain is a powerful tool. We are built to survive rather than thrive- this is a primordial skill that has not left us, but we have more effective tools. 
It is important to me to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and comfortable space to talk about uncomfortable life situations. I do well within the neurodivergent community, and have aided in navigating difficult milestones in their lives.

I cannot promise I'm the right one for you. Here is what I can tell you about my approach. I believe in being practical which means I will not use a lot of psycho-babble or fancy strategies. I have a tendency to be blunt. My wife says I'm the "bluntest politest man" she has ever met. I'm going to be real with you. 

I love couples/marriage counseling, and that is my main focus. However, about half of my clients have always been individuals. Some people just need a place to vent. Others need help solving a problem, and most people need a little of both. 

I know therapy might be a little intimidating or even scary to some. Try to think of it as a massage for your brain. It's a place where you can say whatever you want guilt-free.
