Hello! My background is working with teens, adults, couples, and families. I specialize in depression, anxiety, grief, as well as mood and personality disorders like bipolar and borderline personality disorders. Sessions lead with a person-centered approach and evidence-based practices. My style is warm and fun, partly so you can feel like you took a breath of fresh air, at the same time as reaching your goals. I value the importance of trust when working with my clients. Together, we will create an individualized plan where you approve each decision. The purpose would be to have clear goals, monitor progress, and efficiency.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The most crucial part of the therapeutic process is the client. Meaning, it is important to always focus on an interpersonal approach first. This approach involves getting to know how you see you, and the hidden strengths that you have. By building on your strong suits, we can start approaching more in depth therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Anyone who tries to make the commitment to start therapy deserves a lot of credit! In my experience, what sets apart a good from a great therapist is having an innate ability to empathize and listen. I make this standard. There is a special purpose in feeling seen.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I recently started my own practice, after being an associate therapist for a group for 3+ years. My experience also includes working for Youth and Family Services, child protection, a homeless shelter, and inpatient care. Environments that emphasized the importance of providing compassionate and quality care, with confidence to handle any complex situation.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Anxiety can create negative thinking which therapists call, intrusive thoughts. Together, we will investigate these thoughts further to create more of an understanding of why they are occurring. Then we will build techniques to remind you of your power so you feel comfortable being in control of your own mind and body.

Motivational Interviewing

Expanding on healthy thoughts, we will use motivational interviewing to remind you of the positive choices and direction youre making in this moment.
