Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Indiana. Additionally, I am licensed and practice in Arizona, Massachusetts, and Virginia. I received my Master's from the University of Southern California and I enjoy working with people to help them become the best version of themselves. In a time where the world is full of hate, injustice, pain, and unprecedented challenges and changes, we all need someone to help process our lives. I want to serve as that for as many people as possible.
In your first session with me you can expect to answer a lot of questions. I want to get to know who you are and what you genuinely feel you need help with. You can expect light-hearted humor because it's important we are able to laugh at ourselves; You can also expect honesty and a listening ear. I will not just tell you what you want to hear but will instead listen for what you need.
I think my greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to empathize as well as sympathize. I have lived a very interesting life and can relate to a lot of situations my clients find themselves in or have been through. Another great strength I have as a provider is my directness. My clients never have to wonder what I am thinking or walk away unsure of how to proceed.
I love working with individuals who genuinely want to put in the work to make life better for themselves.
CBT serves as the foundation of most therapeutic approaches and is weaved into most of my work. In addition, I am certified in Trauma-Focused CBT.
Couples are my passion population. I believe they are the beginning of the family dynamic and healthy parents make for healthy children.
I was trained on motivational interviewing in grad school and use it everyday in sessions with client to help them open up more and feel more heard.
I work with families to help them find healthy and less dysfunctional ways to relate with each other and as a unit
I understand that faith plays a big role in decisions many people make for their lives. I try very hard to respect all faiths and help client's process their lives and situations through several lenses, including that of their faith.
