I welcome the privilege of supporting clients challenged by stress, life transitions, grief, and finding emotional traction as they move through the world. I use a variety of approaches and techniques to help clients articulate challenges, unpack limiting thoughts and actions, and redirect their emotional focus toward a more connected, empowered sense of self-esteem, work, and relationships. My clients can expect compassion, honesty, humor, and respect for the client's history and for the client's future.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

For a first session, and always, I will be paying attention to what you see as a block, a problem, or a challenge. What do you love? What do you avoid? I will be looking for what you say gives you agency and positive emotions vs. what we both see as taking away agency and creating the dreaded "stuckness" and anxiety, grief, or fear. You can and should expect compassion, experience, and feeling that the session is helpful.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

By taking a reflective, informed approach, I offer clients the space and opportunity to self-articulate what they want vs. what they have.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If you are looking for clarity, a roadmap, or a compassionate listener, let's hear about it, and we'll see what treatment approaches, coping techniques, motivations, and reality checks will give you the most traction.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I use a variety of evidence-based and relational approaches to support my clients, however articulating and accessing a client's inherent strengths is my primary tool for offering support and facilitating progress.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use a variety of evidence-based and relational approaches to support my clients; when appropriate, the structure and consistency of cognitive-based therapy can empower my clients and support their own sense of agency and self-direction.

Grief Therapy

I have extensive experience with supporting clients through the grief process, and managing the impact of grief on how we move through the world.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I am experienced in offering support and self-awareness/self-regulation via the lens of IFS and how we are affected by our competing "parts."

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I am experienced in guiding clients toward self-regulation and acceptance/perspective-setting via mindfulness practices, as appropriate to my client's comfort zones and personal styles.
