I offer a sacred space for your sacred stories. This safe space allows you to do the courageous work of going within to know yourSelf deeper, understand yourSelf better, and bring your true Self forth. Our work together is a collaborative, co-creative process in which we explore your present-day experiences as well as childhood and early adulthood experiences through your thoughts, feelings, body wisdom, and soul-knowing. I am a kind & gentle witness to you exploring your Self. I walk along beside you as you heal Inner Wounds, release stored trauma, and create a heart-centered, truthful, empowered, integrated Self.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and see/feel/know if we are a good fit together (do our energies align?). In this first session, you will have the chance to share what brings you to therapy (challenges & struggles, your desires to shift), and what you would like to work on in sessions. I will share with you my approaches and policies related to confidentiality and attendance. If we are a good fit, let's dive in! You will secure your reserved day and time for weekly therapy sessions. If not, let’s find you a better fit!
I bring a warm & empowering presence to sessions. Light-heartedness and laughter are essential elements to my work (we go deep, we need the polarity of light & laughter to balance!). I help people tune into the small as well as the big picture: the elemental nuances of emotional experiences, thought processes, and patterned responses (we gots to go small to recognize who we are, how we are, and why we are). I also help clients tune & zoom out to the big picture: by reflecting what a client has shared over time and connecting their experiences, spotlighting shifts made & changes to ways of being. Clients often share that the sacred space I offer is one in which they feel seen, heard, cared for, and understood to a depth and degree they haven't experienced before. My compassionate heart, gentle soul and deep love for what I do & who I work with comes through in our work together.
The clients who are best aligned with me and my style are those who are willing to be brave and are committed to the journey with weekly sessions. Therapy is a commitment to show up and share yourSelf— the messy, imperfect, colorful, laughable, cringe-worthy parts of yourSelf—knowing that shifts and transformations happen when you are willing to be open & vulnerable & truthful, when you are willing to show up and See YourSelf. My commitment is to show up ready to hold the mirror to you, to reflect You to you with kindness, care, compassion, understanding, patience, and unconditional acceptance. You do the hard, courageous work in and out of our therapy sessions to explore, forgive, accept, love, and know deeply. I do the hard, courageous work of reminding you of how and why and what this may look like, sound like, feel like, and to Trust the Process (especially when the process is difficult and twisty and turny). This is deep work which doesn’t always feel warm and fuzzy, AND this is deep hard work that is always worth it because You are worth it. As I’ve mentioned, therapy is a commitment. I work with clients who are willing to show up every week and do the Inner Work. Consistent weekly therapy sessions allows space for shifts and transformations to happen. I am strict about weekly attendance: I have reserved a day and time specifically for you. Cancels under 24 hours incur a Missed Session Fee, no exceptions. If you know ahead of 24 hours that you need to reschedule your weekly session, we find an alternate time to meet that week. If you cancel and do not reschedule for that same week, you have the opportunity for Two Missed Sessions. Cancelling two sessions (with no reschedule that same week) within any 60 day period, we transition you to Drop-In Status in which you do not have a secured day & time for session, rather you reach out to see what is available when you want to have session. You will receive a copy of my Attendance Policies to have clarity prior to beginning weekly therapy with me.
Talk therapy with a twist! I offer clinical talk therapy with a Mind-Body-Heart-Spirit approach. I am a clinical trauma therapist and an integrative, holistic therapist and practitioner. Clinical talk therapy includes humanistic, person-centered, strengths-based, culturally-sensitive, feminist therapeutic approaches utilizing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Positive Psychology. Mind-Body-Heart-Spirit approach includes compassion-focused, mindfulness-based therapy with discussion of body/somatic awareness, grounding techniques, Breathwork, Yoga philosophy, Chakras, Energy Principles, Metaphor work, Shadow work, Hero's Journey work, dream exploration, a Multiple Intelligences Framework, and Expressive/Creative Arts.

I wish I could rate Melodie a thousand stars! Melodie is such a compassionate, insightful, genuine person, I truly only wish I had found her earlier in my mental health journey. She has been helping me through a very painful grieving process and also some positive new changes and challenges in my life. I highly recommend Melodie for her warmth and humor and gentle compassionate therapeutic approach.
