My name is Willard and I am a licensed counselor in several states. My practice primarily focuses on helping others deal with ambiguity. Often our thoughts and subsequently what we teach ourselves becomes rigid and fairly black and white. Using a pragmatic and authentic approach to therapy I help others to be okay with things that are beyond their control and work with them to establish themselves as the protagonist in their own story. This is primarily accomplished through conversation and allowing you the client to guide the therapy in the direction it needs to go.

Hi. My name is Amanda Jo! I'm honored you've taken the opportunity to read a little bit about me in order to determine if we might be a good fit to walk a part of life's journey together! I have over ten years of experience working in the field of mental health. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Saint Leo University and obtained my Masters in Social Work from Indiana University. I served in the United States Army and am acutely aware of the mental health and family issues specifically related to deployments as well as pre and post service. I have experience and knowledge related to birth-mothers and adoption. Furthermore, I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, middle aged and 'antiqued' populations who are struggling to manage stress, anxiety, depression, grief, mood disorders, relationship conflict and/or unresolved trauma. Life is a beautiful, complex journey that requires community to navigate. I'd be honored to be a part of your circle!

Human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind. Our attitudes and beliefs may come from our childhood, our experiences and maybe what we have learned from others. After working in many areas of mental health, I have gained experience in assisting people in figuring out where thoughts and feelings may be coming from and the best methods to improve them. Everyone finds that their overall mental health improves and they create a better version of themselves. I have been married for 16 years and have three kids. I attended Ball State University for my undergraduate work and Howard University for my graduate degree. My work experience has been in community mental health centers, psychiatric hospitals, schools and private practice. We all go through difficult times during life. Anxiety, depression, grief/loss are just a few reasons why people look to therapy for support. No matter what your reasons are, I want you to know that it matters, YOU matter.

Navigating life between 11 and 25 can feel overwhelming. I specialize in supporting adolescents, teens, and young adults as they juggle school, family, identity, and the pressure to always be “the strong one.” My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to explain your background to be understood—a space that honors your story, culture, and values. I show up with empathy, honesty, and cultural understanding. I’m not here to “fix” you but to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of what you’re carrying and creating room for reflection, healing, and growth. Whether you’re managing anxiety, family stress, identity questions, or just trying to feel like yourself again, I provide therapy that’s real, relevant, and safe. ***Please note: Appointments after 3pm CST are reserved for clients ages 11–18.

Life can be so challenging, and sometimes we can seem to lose our way – getting lost in the spinning, the confusion, the uncertainty. Emotions can feel like they spiral or swing so rapidly that it can feel difficult to find stable ground, let alone direction for our lives. Maybe you have experienced this – that shift between anxiety & depression & irritability – that sense of feeling lost or struggling to see a way forward in your life. Working with adults and seniors over the past 15 years, in inpatient settings, intensive outpatient treatment, and individual therapy, I am an empathetic ear and a believer that growth and change are always possible, no matter how lost we may feel.
