You can call me Dan. From a young age I was interested in a career that focused on helping people. I smile when I think about it, but there was a time I thought a career in medicine was what I wanted but I am so bad at math that didn't work out very well. There was a time I thought I was being called into ministry as a pastor, and I wanted to be a pastor that could counsel, but circumstances didn't allow that to happen either. Maybe it's ironic and maybe it's not but I'm not really that much of a talker so I never dreamed that becoming a therapist would be my thing. But then again, therapy is a lot about listening and I do that really well. I enjoy helping others move from places of frustration, and sometimes despair to places of hope and healing. I have always been taught that people deserve respect and to be treated with dignity regardless of what their issue is or where they come from and that is a value I continue to hold. I also find it interesting that the three careers I pursued had their focus in the three things I still believe are important for a life of fulfillment, purpose, and contentment and those are physical health, spiritual health and mental health.
I received a Masters of Divinity degree in 1991, a Masters in Social Work degree in 1996 and my License as a Clinical Social Worker in 1997. I went back to school in 2016 and obtained a MBA in Healthcare Management in 2017. My 30 year career in mental health has been split between providing clinical services, supervising others in their provision of clinical services and administration in the area of Healthcare Quality and Compliance.

Specializing in culturally sensitive approaches, I am committed to fostering resilience and empowering individuals to navigate their unique mental health journey. Let's embark on this path together, embracing the strength within our shared narratives. Whether you are struggling with life changes, depression or mood disorders, grief, or relationship issues I am here to help.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana providing Telehealth therapy services. I specialize in trauma recovery and a modern understanding of grief, one that recognizes that loss isn’t just about death, but about any life-altering change that leaves a void. Trauma doesn’t just live in the past, it lives in our dreams, our bodies, and the gaps in our memories. If you are experiencing ‘forgotten’ memories, bad dreams, or the aftermath of sexual abuse, you don’t have to carry that weight alone. I specialize in trauma recovery and a modern understanding of grief, one that recognizes that loss isn’t just about death, but about any life-altering change that leaves a void.
I advocate for a modern understanding of grief: loss is about much more than death. We can grieve a lost childhood, a sense of safety, a relationship, or a version of ourselves we didn’t get to become. Whether your pain feels loud or like a quiet, persistent void, I provide a compassionate space to process these "invisible" wounds.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Temple University and my Master of Social Work from Indiana University. With over 8 years of experience, I support individuals in managing anxiety, navigating depression, and healing from past trauma. My approach blends evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness with a spiritually grounded perspective. While therapy is rooted in clinical skill, I also create space for deeper connection—often integrating spiritual awareness into the work for those who are open to it. I believe healing is not just mental, but also deeply internal and, at times, spiritual.
I am a certified yoga and meditation teacher, and a licensed therapist, I use a combination of talk therapy, physical postures, breathing exercises and visualization to support and relax the body so that the client can identify and process unresolved emotions, physical pain, and/or trauma. I consider myself a guide on the clients journey to self discovery, and healing.
I look forward to meeting you.

If you struggle with anxious attachment, people pleasing, setting boundaries, feeling triggered, anger, anxiety, depression, co-dependence, parenting issues, and ADD/ ADHD, then I want to work with you. These symptoms and attachment style are often related to each other and often related to similar childhood experiences of inconstant or abusive/neglectful caregivers. I work with adults, teens, and families navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction and life transitions—whether rooted in the past or unfolding in real time. Some of us carry burdens that others can’t see: early wounds, chronic stress, or invisible grief that’s hard to name, let alone process. Together, we’ll slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and build practical strategies for feeling better, day by day. My style is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care to name a few—but our work is always tailored to you.
I have provided group, family and individual counseling in hospitals, residential, day treatment, intensive out patient and outpatient settings for behavioral health and addictions. I specialize in overcoming trauma, managing anxiety and working with and through challenges like addiction, depression and PTSD toward a life that works for you.
Clients often tell me they feel both deeply accepted and gently challenged in our work. I’m here to help you reconnect with your own clarity, capacity, and self-compassion—especially if that’s been hard to access in the past. Whether you're feeling stuck or starting over, we can work together to create the change you want, at a pace that feels safe and real.

You may be the person everyone depends on, yet still find yourself feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of where to turn. Maybe you’re navigating a difficult relationship, grieving a loss, struggling with self-esteem, or carrying emotional burdens that have built up over time.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and also a School Social Worker. I believe healing happens when we take the time to understand the experiences, relationships, and life events that have shaped us. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Together, we’ll create a space where you can explore what’s weighing on you, gain insight into patterns that may no longer serve you, and develop tools to support meaningful change. My goal is to help you feel heard, empowered, and better equipped to navigate life with confidence and clarity.
