New to Grow
I'm a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, OCD, postpartum challenges, and life transitions. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, ERP, person-centered, and strengths-based strategies to help you understand your thoughts and feelings, develop practical coping skills, and build confidence. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In your first session with me, we’ll start by getting to know each other and understanding what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, goals, and any past experiences with therapy, and together we’ll begin to identify patterns that may be contributing to stress or distress. You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where your thoughts and feelings are heard, and we’ll start building practical strategies to help you feel more confident and in control.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel heard and understood. I am highly skilled in evidence-based approaches like CBT, ERP, person-centered, and strengths-based strategies. I tailor my work to each client’s unique needs. With over two years of experience in community mental health, I have developed a strong understanding of diverse client needs and am confident in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, OCD, postpartum challenges, and trauma.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and work on practical strategies to manage anxiety, stress, or low mood. I focus on giving clients tools they can use in everyday life to feel more confident, resilient, and in control of their emotions.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help clients facing anxiety, OCD, or related challenges. Together, we gradually and safely confront feared situations or thoughts while reducing unhelpful avoidance or compulsive behaviors. This approach helps clients build confidence, reduce anxiety over time, and regain a sense of control in daily life.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. Together, we explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace, helping you build self-awareness, confidence, and emotional resilience. My goal is to empower you to find your own solutions and make meaningful changes that feel authentic to you.
Strength-Based
I use a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build on their existing skills, resources, and personal strengths. Together, we focus on what’s working well in your life and how to use those strengths to overcome challenges, boost confidence, and create positive change. This approach emphasizes growth, resilience, and the potential for lasting progress.
