Hello, I'm glad you're here! I believe in creating a compassionate, open, and supportive environment to give you space to process emotions. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Indiana where I also hold my Credentialed Sexual Abusive Youth Clinician (CSAYC) credentials. This means that I have additional training regarding children with sexually maladaptive behaviors. I have been working therapeutically with families and individuals for 5 years. Whether it is processing past trauma, addressing depression and anxiety, or exploring life transitions I'm always happy to have a warm welcoming place for you to feel heard.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, clients can expect an intake period. This could include introductions and getting to know one another. You're always encouraged to share what you're looking for in a therapist and what you believe would be most helpful to yourself. During this introduction it will help me get to know more about what brings you into therapy and what your goals are. By helping me get to know what you need this can begin to create the collaborative process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

A large strength of mine is creating a non-judgemental environment where you can feel safe to be yourself. I strive to make our sessions an open discussion where your needs and concerns can be addressed. I put a large effort into making my clients feel heard throughout our time together. I believe compassion, empathy, and respect are very important in therapy sessions and I work very hard for my clients to experience this.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with individuals who seek extra support in processing difficult times in life. Everyone faces difficulties during their life and having therapeutic help to process this can help you overcome the hurdles of life. Healing from trauma can be daunting but with a collaborative therapeutic process growth can be possible!

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

In my practice, I like to have client driven sessions where they can feel comfortable to share, but also feel empowered to make changes. Motivational interviewing is a collaborative approach that focuses on enhancing an individual's motivation for change.

Strength-Based

Encouragement of positive qualities and reinforcement can be very helpful for clients compared to focusing on harsh critiques. In my practice, I enjoy focusing on existing strengths and characteristics to help overcome the challenges a client may be facing.

Family Therapy

As individuals we may face difficulties, but there are times when approaching the solutions as whole family unit may be beneficial to our success. Given my training in CSAYC therapy I have seen the benefits of tackling situations together. Family is very important and has the ability to shape our individual mental, emotional, and social well-being.
