Hi, I’m Tiefa Hernandez.
I’m a therapist with 7 years of experience as a clinician, and I’ve been a social worker for over a decade. I bring a deep understanding of mental health, along with a strong passion for helping others heal and grow.
I specialize in working with individuals from all walks of life and truly value diversity in my practice. I’m a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental person, and I aim to create a safe space where you can be yourself. I enjoy working with kids, teens, and adults (ages 10 and up), and I’m here to support you in reaching your treatment goals.
I'm a therapist with nearly twenty years of experience. Most of my experience has been in a community mental health agency, with work in the outpatient and residential treatment programs. I have worked primarily with adults who have issues with anxiety, depression, and addiction. I believe therapy can be helpful in enhancing life and improving quality of life.
My work as a therapist has grown out of years of supporting people in many different environments and stages of life. I’ve spent over 15 years working with adults with a wide range of neurodivergence and abilities, helping them discover their strengths, build confidence, and move toward goals that matter to them. I’ve also worked as a Career Counselor for the county, guiding people through assessments, career transitions, and educational planning.
Along the way, I’ve supported individuals in correctional settings, helping detainees navigate mental health challenges, adjustment issues, and the emotional weight that comes with major life disruption. I also have experience responding to crisis situations, offering support to people during moments of intense emotional distress or behavioral emergencies.
My approach to therapy is flexible and personal. I use an Eclectic, Existential style, pulling from Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, and Reality Therapy. What that means for you is that we’ll work together in a way that fits you — your personality, your pace, your goals. I aim to create a space that feels safe, open, and genuinely supportive, where you can explore what’s going on in your life and start making meaningful changes.
supportive, where you can explore what’s going on in your life and start making meaningful changes.
My values guide everything I do: trustworthy support, integrity, fairness, innovation, unconditional positive regard, and creativity. I’m committed to treating every person with respect and complete confidentiality. You’re not a set of symptoms or a checklist — you’re a whole person with a story worth understanding. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, seen, and supported as you move toward the life you want.
I’m a licensed therapist with 19 years of experience dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions, and I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. I believe therapy works best when it feels safe and nonjudgmental. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, going through a major change, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you.
Creating a space where you can find what works best for you in your journey. Focusing on strengths helps individuals recognize their own resilience and capabilities, which is vital for growth. By tailoring my approach to each person's unique situation, I honor their individuality and foster a deeper sense of self-understanding and agency. People often thrive when they feel heard and supported in a way that aligns with their own needs and goals, rather than being pushed into a redefined mold.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to make sure you don't have to face life's challenges alone. Whether you're navigating pregnancy or postpartum, adjusting to a major life transition, or feeling weighed down by anxiety, trauma, or overwhelming emotions, I strive to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a certification in Perinatal Mental Health, I specialize in helping individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, birth trauma, pregnancy and infant loss, and the many emotional changes that can come with these experiences. I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, and life transitions.
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, emotionally overwhelmed, or exhausted from trying to manage everything on their own. Together, we'll work to better understand your experiences, build practical tools for coping, and help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I incorporate evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, to support healing and lasting change. I believe therapy is more than learning coping skills - it 's about helping you rediscover your strengths, find hope, and create a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
As a licensed clinical therapist, I am passionate about walking alongside clients as they discover and grow into their best selves. I strive to create a safe, supportive space grounded in strong rapport, collaboration, empowerment, and authenticity — a place where transparency is welcomed and even silence is respected as part of the healing process. I help clients recognize patterns of negative self-talk and learn practical, effective ways to reframe those thoughts, while cultivating self-compassion and a deeper understanding of their inherent worth. My approach focuses on identifying and building upon each person’s strengths to foster resilience, clarify personal values, and establish healthy boundaries that protect their energy and well-being. Together, we work to reduce guilt and shame, strengthen a sense of identity, and reinforce the truth that you matter. My goal is to help clients move beyond survival into a life marked by genuine joy, inner peace, and alignment with what is most meaningful to them.
Compassionate care paired with non- judgemental expertise is my specialty. I work with parents, children, couples, teens on a variety of issuesYou can expect honesty ,skill and authenticity in every session.Using EMDR ( eye- movement desensitization retraining) we can separate the emotion from the trauma.Using CBT ( cognitive behavioral therapy)we can tap into thinking that is limiting you and correct it. I often tell people that " long after you have forgotten my name you will have tools that, you, your family and friends can use".You can pass on a legacy of emotional health to your offspring.I look forward to working with you to make the world a better place!
Hello and Welcome!!!
My name is Nicole Kumane` Chisum and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Illinois and Indiana. I am committed to improving the lives of others through the therapeutic process. I received a Master's in Child Development and my Masters Social Work. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals, children and families as a dedicated Social Worker. I believe that when individuals are given the space to fully express themselves and have a supportive therapist, they can discover the positive changes they are looking for.
I am a warm, compassionate and laid-back therapist that will work with you to set goals, solve problems, and explore emotions. Therapy is all about meeting you where you are and I will always work to meet you in that place. During therapy it is important to explore the hard stuff, it can also be an enjoyable experience too.
You may look like you have things together on the outside, but inside feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning, responsible, and used to being the one others rely on, yet privately feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to slow down and take care of themselves.
I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Often, they are managing demanding careers, family responsibilities, or relationship stress while quietly feeling like it is never enough or wondering why things still feel so heavy.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), specializing in helping clients understand and shift long-standing emotional and relational patterns that keep them feeling stuck.
Clients often describe me as easy to talk to and appreciate that they can be fully honest in a way they may not feel comfortable doing elsewhere. I provide a space where you do not have to filter yourself.
I also bring a broad perspective shaped by living in different parts of the U.S. and traveling extensively internationally, which has deepened my ability to connect with people from many backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences.
In addition, my experience in Corporate America leadership roles gives me a strong understanding of workplace pressure, burnout, performance expectations, and the emotional toll of high-responsibility environments.
Hi, I’m Sherri Moore, I am a licensed clinical social worker in Indiana. I earned my masters degree in social work from the University of Louisville in 2013. I have over 13 years of professional social work experience in the mental health field as well as the school setting. I am dedicated to helping individuals, families, and children navigate life’s most difficult seasons. I have a dual background as both a licensed clinical (LCSW) and school social worker (LSSW), which is a great asset for parents looking for help with school-related issues. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or the lasting effects of trauma, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard. I am dedicated to reducing stigma around mental health issues and encourage others to recognize that seeking help is both necessary and acceptable. I am focused and energized by my mission to impact lives through mental health advocacy and support. I am currently accepting new clients for telehealth across Indiana.
Biography: I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I facilitate the spiritual, mental and emotional healing process through talk therapy. The focus of most of my adult life has been to be a skilled helper to people in need. As I moved through my theological training, I realized that, often, others needed deeper support than "church" alone could give. I pursued further education to become a clinical counselor to meet those needs.
I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including, outpatient community mental health, inpatient/outpatient substance abuse/addiction, sex offender therapy in the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, mental health professional in the Florida Department of Corrections, inpatient and day treatment of chronically mentally ill, and private practice.
I believe my gift, in the counseling relationship, is that I help others see things for themselves. I also have a Christian world view which informs my interaction with others. I am a compassionate, non judgmental, "Wounded healer". Yes, I have had to negotiate life's struggles like anyone else. So, it is not just an academic exercise with me. I offer compassionate support while we work through your mental health issues including, depression, anxiety, stress, anger, fear, grief, loss, codependency, and self esteem issues.
Hello, I’m Dr. Leslie Capehart, an LMHC with over 25 years of experience across clinical settings, private practice, and academia.
At some point, most people find themselves feeling stuck—whether it’s anxiety, depression, relationship stress, or just a sense that something isn’t working but you can’t quite put your finger on it. It can feel overwhelming, frustrating, and at times like you’re repeating the same patterns without understanding why. That’s where I come in.
My approach is straightforward, collaborative, and focused on helping you actually move forward. I’ll support you, but I’ll also challenge you to look more closely at the patterns, assumptions, and blind spots that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll identify what’s no longer working, shift the thinking patterns behind it, and build practical tools you can use in your day-to-day life.
I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem, with a focus on helping you gain clarity, make meaningful changes, and stop repeating what isn’t working.
***Please note that I don't specialize in working with addiction issues, and if that is something you are actively struggling with, I encourage you to look for a provider who specializes in working in addictions. It's important you find the best person for you.

Do you feel stuck in a pattern that is negatively impacting your overall wellness?
Just as important as the "why" is the "what" aspect of the mind. What we think, what we feel and what we believe are all intertwined with our behavior. Exploring the thoughts and beliefs that underpin certain actions can lead to profound self-awareness and personal growth. In my interactions with clients, I have witnessed the transformative power of uncovering and challenging deep-seated beliefs that no longer serve them.
While patterns and commonalities may emerge among individuals, it is crucial to remember that each person's mind is a unique landscape. What works for one may not work for another, and it is my duty as a clinician to adapt the plan of care accordingly. As a therapist and health coach, I incorporate a holistic (mind/body) approach.

Navigating through the journey of life we inevitably run into hindrances that challenge our momentum. Change is hard and can often be sudden and unpredictable, leaving us without the proper tools to cope with these changes. We have to learn to acclimate to our surroundings on our terms. Whether it's a traumatic response, addiction, grief and loss, anxiety, loss of confidence, feeling lost and overwhelmed, feelings of depression or stagnation, there's hope. It takes courage to look into a mirror and see who's looking back, it takes strength to want to make a change and hope to inspire change.
My goal is to inspire Hope. To inspire people to look inward and see what is there, what already exists. I want to see people believe in themselves. My goal is to assist people in regaining a strong and confident sense of self.

I work with high-performing professionals who are exhausted from carrying too much responsibility for too long. Many of my clients are leaders, healthcare providers, executives, and driven individuals who appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, burned out, or emotionally depleted behind the scenes.
Before becoming a full-time therapist, I served in senior healthcare leadership roles, including Regional Vice President. I understand the pressure of performance plans, regulatory scrutiny, organizational instability, and the silent weight of being the person everyone else depends on.
In therapy, we focus on restoring clarity, rebuilding emotional resilience, and addressing the root causes of anxiety, trauma, and chronic stress. My approach integrates evidence-based cognitive and trauma-informed interventions with practical, real-world strategies that support both professional and personal stability.
If you are a high-achieving individual who feels stuck, overextended, or quietly unraveling under pressure, you are not weak. You are overloaded. Together, we will recalibrate your nervous system, strengthen your internal narrative, and restore sustainable performance without sacrificing your well-being.
Welcome and hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist along with being an International Certified Gambling Counselor, Level 1 , a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional and a Qualified Supervisor in Florida. I have found an incredible passion for helping individuals. I have worked extensively in substance abuse, with woman's issues (infertility), trauma, couples, gambling, intimacy issues and family therapy. You may feel desperate, alone, and misunderstood. You feel like you are floating in the bottom of a lake and cannot see the light above you. Everyday, you feel like you are just going through the motions. If this describes you, then I may be the therapist for you. In my nearly twenty years of experience, I have helped people like you reach their potential and achieve the recovery that they needed. There is no set system or quick fix as others may promise, but I will walk down the road with you. My primary focus is on helping you deal with ambiguity. Often our thoughts and subsequently what we teach ourselves becomes rigid and fairly black and white. Using a pragmatic and authentic approach to therapy I try and help you be okay with things that are beyond your control and work with you to establish yourself as the protagonist in your own story. This is primarily accomplished through conversation and allowing you the client to guide the therapy in the direction it needs to go.
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with over 14 years of experience working as a clinician, therapist , and crisis interventionist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance use problems, psychosis, and ADHD. I also helped people who have experienced trauma and/or emotional abuse.
I would like to clarify my expertise does not include eating disorders, or pornography addiction, although I do understand some of the symptoms and causes. AGAIN, NO PORN ADDICTIONS, COUPLES COUNSELING, OR MARRIAGE COUNSELING.
My therapy style is genuine and solution focused.. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach is dialectical behavioral based with strengths perspective and motivational interviewing. Any treatment plan to meet your needs will be collaborative, timely, and with measurable goals. Usually following the "S.M.A.R.T." goal format. Specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timely.
I have worked extensively in crisis intervention in the agency and on the streets, in hospitals, and in mental health courts and case management agencies, and have managed in this capacity. I also have many years experience related to substance use disorders and have worked as a therapist utilizing primarily Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as my main approach as well as utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy . These tools can be modified in a number of ways to help clients achieve their goals .
Regardless of any experience, upbringing, current, or past situation, everyone has choices they can make that best serves them and the life they want to live.
I look forward to working with you!
I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life and personal development. We'll work through your patterns in managing daily life, relationships or work situations, and I'll help you and/or your partner grow together with new communication methods.
Together, we will identify your challenges and goals - where you want your life to be a month, six months, a year from now. Then, we'll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. You'll leave the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with an "actions I can take right now" approach. There will always be room for suggestions concerning our work together, including keeping each other accountable.

You can call me Dan. From a young age I was interested in a career that focused on helping people. I smile when I think about it, but there was a time I thought a career in medicine was what I wanted but I am so bad at math that didn't work out very well. There was a time I thought I was being called into ministry as a pastor, and I wanted to be a pastor that could counsel, but circumstances didn't allow that to happen either. Maybe it's ironic and maybe it's not but I'm not really that much of a talker so I never dreamed that becoming a therapist would be my thing. But then again, therapy is a lot about listening and I do that really well. I enjoy helping others move from places of frustration, and sometimes despair to places of hope and healing. I have always been taught that people deserve respect and to be treated with dignity regardless of what their issue is or where they come from and that is a value I continue to hold. I also find it interesting that the three careers I pursued had their focus in the three things I still believe are important for a life of fulfillment, purpose, and contentment and those are physical health, spiritual health and mental health.
I received a Masters of Divinity degree in 1991, a Masters in Social Work degree in 1996 and my License as a Clinical Social Worker in 1997. I went back to school in 2016 and obtained a MBA in Healthcare Management in 2017. My 30 year career in mental health has been split between providing clinical services, supervising others in their provision of clinical services and administration in the area of Healthcare Quality and Compliance.

I provide resources, homework, and education to my clients to help them in the process of self-discovery and addressing relationship issues. I help clients to find solutions to solvable problems and develop coping skills to address issues that are harder to solve.

I received my Master's from the University of Southern California and I enjoy working with people to help them become the best version of themselves. Stay focused, know your "Why?" And fulfill your purpose. Anxiety, PTSD, and depression are some of the leading reasons people seek therapy. Anxiety, PTSD, and depression can keep people from being able to reach their best potential because they focus on what could go wrong instead of what could go right. Life experiences and circumstances inform anxiety experiences. It is so important to have healthy coping skills to deal with anxiety, PTSD, and depression, so you are not overwhelmed. I would love to help you learn healthy coping skills to effectively get through struggles you may be going through. Your "someday I will work on reducing my anxiety" can start today by booking your first therapy appointment to gain healthy coping skills.
I work with adults through individual therapy seeking support for everyday challenges such as stress, work-life balance, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, ADHD, emotional regulation. depression, anxiety, PTSD, career goal setting, communication skills, or life transitions to name a few. For clients who value Christian faith as part of their journey, I also offer the option to incorporate prayer and biblical wisdom into our work together.
