Reaching out for help in the form of therapy is not an easy thing to do as many can attest, but by reading this biography, you are taking the first step in getting help for yourself or a loved one. At times, life offers many struggles and obstacles that can be difficult to overcome alone. Engaging in therapy will provide opportunities to explore and process the thoughts and feelings that prevent you from living your best life. Though the thought of therapy may be intimidating and even nerve-wrecking for some, I believe once a person finds the right therapist, they find a trusting confidant who seeks to understand and problem solve.
In the first therapy session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they can share their thoughts, feelings, and concerns freely. We will begin by explaining the therapy process, discussing confidentiality, and addressing any questions or concerns the client may have. We will also work to establish a strong therapeutic alliance, building rapport and trust with the client. Additionally, I will conduct an initial assessment, asking about the client's presenting issues, mental health history, and goals for therapy. This session is an opportunity for the client to begin exploring their thoughts and feelings in a supportive and nonjudgmental space, setting the foundation for future sessions.
It is my goal is to help you find healthy ways to cope with your stressors, and together, discover long-term solutions that will lead to a better you. I will relate to you by leveraging my experience working with various populations, including people of many different ethnic, cultural and socioeconomical backgrounds. Together, let’s begin this journey.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are seeking a compassionate and empathetic therapist to help them navigate life's challenges. My approach is well-suited for individuals who are open to exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. I work well with clients who are motivated to make positive changes in their lives and are willing to actively engage in the therapy process. My clients often appreciate my ability to listen attentively, provide feedback and insights, and collaborate with them to develop effective coping strategies and solutions.
I have extensive experience in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. In my practice, I use CBT techniques to help clients challenge unhelpful beliefs, develop coping strategies, and cultivate more adaptive ways of thinking and behaving to improve their mental health and overall well-being.
I have training in motivational interviewing (MI), which is a client-centered approach that focuses on exploring and resolving ambivalence. In my practice, I use MI techniques to help clients explore their motivations for change, enhance their intrinsic motivation, and ultimately increase their readiness to make positive changes in their lives.

Anthony is very easy to talk to, and is very receptive to the issues you bring to him. He isn't just sitting there nodding his head waiting for a lull in conversation to interject with a stereotypical "and how does that make you feel". He was attentive and kind, but perhaps most importantly, genuine in his prompts and responses. I've only had one session with him, but his first impression was fantastic, and I'll absolutely be booking with him going forward.

Incredible with adjusting to my specific needs. After going over the basics, we then went into a natural free-flowing conversation about beliefs and views and how they affect health, and strategies to potentially convert negative thinking into more positive thinking.

I felt really comfortable opening up and talking about my problems and coming up with solutions.
