New to Grow
As a licensed therapist, I specialize in helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care. My expertise includes working with trauma, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, and major life transitions. I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients process difficult experiences, develop healthier thought patterns, and build practical coping skills that support long-term healing and growth. I am especially passionate about working with adolescents, creating a safe and supportive environment where young people feel heard, understood, and empowered. I also work with adults who are seeking healing, personal growth, and greater emotional balance in their lives. As a therapist, my goal is to help clients strengthen resilience, improve relationships, increase self-awareness, and regain confidence in themselves and their future. Through a collaborative and compassionate approach, I strive to create meaningful and lasting impact by helping clients move from surviving to truly thriving.
In our first therapy session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and building a foundation for our work together. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, the challenges you may be facing, and what goals you hope to achieve through the therapeutic process. We may discuss areas such as relationships, stress, emotions, past experiences, trauma history, family dynamics, school or work concerns, and coping strategies you’ve used in the past. For adolescents, I work to create a comfortable and supportive space where they can feel safe expressing themselves without judgment. For adults, the first session is an opportunity to explore current stressors, emotional patterns, and areas where support and healing are needed. I also use the first session to explain how therapy works, answer any questions you may have, and begin identifying approaches that may best support your needs, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we begin your journey toward healing and growth together.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, with an emphasis on creating a structured, collaborative, and emotionally supportive environment where clients can build insight, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful change. I approach therapy in a goal-oriented and intentional way, helping clients identify clear treatment goals while tailoring interventions to their individual needs, developmental level, and life experiences. I believe therapy works best when clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and trauma responses, so psychoeducation is an important part of my work. I aim to normalize clients’ experiences without pathologizing them, helping them recognize that many emotional and behavioral responses are understandable adaptations to stress, trauma, or difficult life circumstances. My style balances validation with accountability. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and emotionally safe while also gently challenging unhelpful thought patterns, avoidance behaviors, and maladaptive coping strategies that may interfere with growth. I value helping clients move beyond insight alone by equipping them with concrete tools they can apply outside of session, including grounding techniques, cognitive reframing, emotional regulation skills, communication strategies, behavioral interventions, and trauma-processing techniques when clinically appropriate. In trauma work, I take a direct yet paced approach. I understand the importance of addressing traumatic experiences safely and systematically rather than avoiding or minimizing them. I work collaboratively with clients to build coping capacity, increase emotional resilience, and process difficult experiences in a way that supports healing and empowerment. Because I work with both adolescents and adults, I adapt my communication style, interventions, and pacing to fit each client’s developmental and emotional needs. I aim to foster a therapeutic relationship that is collaborative, respectful, and strengths-based, helping clients feel both supported and capable as they navigate challenges and work toward lasting change.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are seeking clarity, growth, and meaningful change in their lives. This often includes individuals who feel stuck in recurring patterns—whether in relationships, work, or personal habits—and are motivated to explore the underlying causes of these patterns. My clients tend to value reflection, insight, and practical strategies, and are open to examining both thought processes and emotional responses.

I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based approach, to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through structured techniques, we work on modifying unhelpful patterns and building practical skills for lasting change.
Trauma-Focused CBT
TF-CBT is an evidence-based therapy designed to help children, adolescents, and their caregivers process and heal from traumatic experiences. It combines trauma-sensitive interventions with cognitive-behavioral strategies. I use TF-CBT with clients who have experienced trauma such as abuse, neglect, or significant loss, often working with both the child and their caregivers to support recovery.
