New to Grow
I'm Brittanie Spraker, LMFT, RPT, a passionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist based in Kokomo, Indiana. I offer compassionate virtual therapy services to families, couples, children, adolescents, parents, and grandparents throughout Indiana and have done so for the past 12 years in various community mental health, hospital and private practice settings. I run my own private practice so I can spend more time raising my own kids and balancing family and business.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In the first session, I will get to know you. I will ask about some of your personal history to understand where you are coming from and will attempt to identify and organize the concerns you have and see if there is an underlying condition framing them all. I will identify a treatment plan, explain it to you and set a plan for next sessions. I will explain how therapy could help virtually and be honest if there is a concern that I am unfamiliar with and would need to refer out.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I love working with relationships and with kids. I understand how hard it is to juggle everything and try to ensure that you don't drop anything in the meantime. Parenting is hard, marriage is hard and being a kid is hard and I'm here to help make it a little easier.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I currently work virtually within the state of Indiana. I have worked with many different client concerns over the years but continue to work on providing support and clarity to individuals seeking to repair relationships and for those in relationships to improve communication patterns and rebuild trust. I ask you what you want from therapy and we work together towards individualized goals.
Family Therapy
I work with families both individually or as a couple or family unit to work on issues impacting families and their ability to communicate. I understand no one exists without some sort of relationship impacting them and I always consider this as I help find solutions to individual or couple problems. I also work with children and helping them and their parents to understand what is needed and what is happening to cause the current struggle they may be facing.
Play Therapy
I use a variety of therapies as treatment methods but also incorporate some type of fun into each session if I can. I try to recognize the need for play throughout the lifespan and how this impacts stress levels, connection with loved ones and overall outlook on life.
