New to Grow
Hi, I’m Tiefa Hernandez. I’m a therapist with 7 years of experience as a clinician, and I’ve been a social worker for over a decade. I bring a deep understanding of mental health, along with a strong passion for helping others heal and grow. I specialize in working with individuals from all walks of life and truly value diversity in my practice. I’m a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental person, and I aim to create a safe space where you can be yourself. I enjoy working with kids, teens, and adults (ages 10 and up), and I’m here to support you in reaching your treatment goals.
In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and building a comfortable connection. You’ll complete an assessment with me, which helps me better understand your needs so we can determine the best path forward.
I bring over 10 years of experience in social work, including six years of clinical work. I’ve had the opportunity to support individuals in schools, inpatient & outpatient settings, and within the criminal justice system.
I work with people ages 10 and up and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. I’m passionate about partnering with clients to set meaningful goals and supporting them as they work toward positive change. I work closely with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and anger, along with other mental health challenges.
