I support adults facing life changes, relationship issues, grief, and personal growth as they look for a better path.
Recovery is not just about substances. It is about reclaiming yourself. I believe we are all recovering from something, whether that is trauma, anxiety, burnout, grief, unhealthy relationships, substance use, or years of surviving instead of truly living. Healing is not about becoming someone new. It is about reconnecting with the version of yourself that has been buried beneath life's experiences.
I work with millennials who are ready to better understand themselves, break unhealthy generational patterns, and create lasting change. Together, we will explore what is keeping you stuck while building practical skills that help you move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and intention.
My approach is warm, honest, and collaborative. I create a space where you feel safe enough to be vulnerable while also feeling supported enough to grow. I believe therapy should be compassionate, practical, and empowering. You can expect me to listen with empathy while gently challenging the beliefs and behaviors that may no longer be serving you.
Whether you are navigating life transitions, relationship struggles, trauma, anxiety, substance use, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, you do not have to face it alone. My goal is to help you not only feel better but also build a life that feels authentic, balanced, and meaningful. Together, we will focus on helping you move beyond survival and toward lasting recovery and healing.

Greetings! Secular psychotherapist here.
Is taking care of everyone but yourself breaking you down? Tired of being called “co-dependent”? Do you have beliefs that are different from others and feel a little “off”? Are you becoming more and more anxious or depressed? You're not alone.
I help those looking for a professional confidant and can help with processing difficult transitions and even traumas. Maybe the transition you are going through is attempting to take care of aging parents while raising a family of your own. Or perhaps you are having difficulty setting boundaries with a toxic person in your life. Perhaps you are having difficulty with relationships due to a past that seems ever so present.
My therapeutic style is empathetic and interpersonal. Person-centered. I use evidence-based talk therapy (Acceptance & Commitment, Narrative, etc.) and mindfulness techniques. I believe in our getting to know one another well over time. I welcome diversity in my practice, including those with other than traditional orientations: religious, sexual, gender, or otherwise.

Do you feel like you're running at full capacity with no room left to breathe? On the surface, you have it all together: the high-performing professional, the dependable parent, the supportive partner. Underneath, it's different. Anxiety that won't quiet. Depression creeping in. Burnout from roles that never let you clock out. Often it's all of them at once, tangled together until they blur.
I bring an engineer's mindset to therapy. My background in Mechanical Engineering shaped how I see problems, not as isolated issues but as complex systems needing recalibration. Most high-achievers I work with are tired of surface-level talk therapy; they want results. Together, we analyze what's actually breaking down, whether it's depression, anxiety, career burnout, or family dynamics. We build a concrete evidence-based plan using tools such as DBT and EMDR to process trauma and tackle performance issues. For over a decade, I've guided clients through major life transitions, for example career pivots, new parenthood, and loss, toward lives rooted in purpose and sustainable well-being.
Welcome to Holistic Healing Counseling Services! Together we will form a therapeutic alliance, identify your needs, goals, and work towards healing.

As a licensed clinical social worker, I have been in the field of social work for over 25 years. My experiences have ranged from working with birth mothers with an adoption agency, working with children/adolescents and their families with a broad range of issues stemming from divorce, blended families, trauma, grief work, foster care and adoption. I am also a Registered Play Therapist and a First Play Practitioner. Over the years I have also worked with adult clients as well as couples. My approach to therapy is to be client-centered to help maximize a client's own ability to find solutions with support from the therapist. This is done in a non-judgmental environment by displaying genuineness, positive regard and empathic understanding.
Greetings! Thank you for taking time to review my profile. I am Tangela (pronounced "Angela" with a T) and I am an experienced Licensed Professional counselor who has been providing counseling services for over 13 years. My background includes providing trauma recovery support and treatment. I also provide support in several other areas including anxiety, depression, women's issues, and Faith based counseling. I use an array of modalities and evidence based treatment methods along with treatment goals for my clients. My primary methods are listed in my profile. I look forward to helping my clients address their areas of concern, overcome them, seek alternative methods, and beneficial methods to improve overall health and wellness. I like to give homework as well in order for my clients to fully see the process all the way through. I also love to provide reading recommendations.
I enjoy the transformation period for my clients. I am patient, very understanding, and a great listener. My expertise helps to provide supportive feedback and structure toward meeting the treatment goals set. I am a huge advocate for self-care and will likely implement it into our sessions. I am also flexible and able to accommodate most schedules for appointments.
I look forward to meeting with you soon!
Hello, I am Shaqueena. Are you tired of being tired? Do you feel that no one understands your situation or that no one can relate? Are you unsure if therapy is right for you?
If you are here, then that means that you are ready and motivated to make some changes in your life. Seeking help can sometimes be tough, which is why I believe that we all experience things in our life that goes beyond our ability to cope and when that happens we need a little more assistance.
As a licensed professional counselor, my ultimate goal is to first normalize seeking assistance by decreasing the stigma on mental health. In doing so, my goal is to assist individuals in their healing process, to empower individuals to become the best version of themselves and to help individuals to see that life is completely what you make it.
My preference for treatment is to utilize a trauma-informed approach in addition to CBT, EMDR and Choice/Reality Therapy.
