I am a therapist passionate about supporting children (6-12), adolescents (13-17), and young adults (18-25) through challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger, grief and loss, and navigating life transitions including the adjustment to parental separation or divorce. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Georgia State University and a Master of Social Work Degree from The University of Georgia. With over 19 years of experience working with individuals, families, and groups, I view therapy as my calling and am dedicated to helping clients of all ages build resilience and find healing through life’s toughest moments.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, I will begin with an interview with the parent or guardian for children and adolescents, followed by a brief introduction to the child or adolescent. For young adults, we will meet directly to discuss your specific goals and provide an overview of the therapeutic process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a provider is my deep passion for helping individuals navigate anxiety, anger, grief and loss, and other adjustment-related life challenges. I am dedicated to supporting clients through life's toughest moments and empowering them to develop resilience.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are children (6-12), adolescents (13-17), and young adults (18-25) navigating difficult life transitions such as grief and loss, separation or divorce of parents, anxiety, and anger. I also work with individuals facing other adjustment-related challenges, helping them develop the emotional resilience needed to thrive during times of change.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Creates a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe to express themselves. Through empathy, acceptance, and authenticity, this approach helps young clients explore their emotions, build self-awareness, and develop the confidence to navigate their challenges. By fostering trust and self-empowerment, Person Centered therapy encourages emotional growth and healing.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

A goal-oriented approach that helps clients identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. By learning to challenge unhelpful thinking and adopt healthier coping strategies, clients are empowered to manage anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges with confidence.
