New to Grow
Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here. My approach to therapy is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative — think of it as real conversations with a purpose. Together, we’ll unpack what’s been weighing you down, explore new ways of thinking, and build tools that actually work in everyday life. My goal is to help you feel lighter, more confident, and more connected to yourself and others — all while keeping the process genuine, supportive, and maybe even a little fun along the way.
In your first session with me, you can expect a relaxed and welcoming conversation where we get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and any goals or concerns you have. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and what’s been working (or not) for you so far. This session is all about building comfort and trust — there’s no pressure to have it all figured out. By the end, we’ll start to outline a plan for how we can work together to help you move toward the growth and healing you’re looking for.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the way I blend evidence-based methods with genuine connection and insight. I combine techniques from CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy to create a holistic experience that supports both emotional healing and practical growth. My approach helps clients understand the “why” behind their thoughts and behaviors while learning real-world tools to manage emotions, improve relationships, and make empowered choices. I believe in meeting clients where they are — balancing compassion with gentle challenge — so progress feels both achievable and meaningful. Clients often describe working with me as transformative, grounded, and refreshingly real, because it’s not just about coping with life but truly evolving through it.
I’m best positioned to serve individuals who are ready to do the inner work — those who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected but are open to growth and healing. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, and they’re seeking clarity, balance, and a deeper sense of self. I work especially well with people who value authenticity and want a therapist who’s both compassionate and straightforward. Together, we’ll focus on building insight, developing practical coping tools, and creating meaningful change that aligns with who you truly are and where you want to go.
In therapy, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with healthier, more balanced perspectives. This approach focuses on developing practical coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and creating positive behavioral changes that support long-term emotional well-being.
In therapy, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility and live in alignment with their values. Together, we work on accepting difficult emotions rather than avoiding them, identifying what truly matters to you, and taking meaningful actions toward a fulfilling life. This approach encourages mindfulness, self-compassion, and growth even in the face of challenges.
In therapy, I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients balance acceptance and change. This approach focuses on building skills in four key areas: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Together, we work on understanding and managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and developing healthy coping strategies to navigate life’s challenges more effectively.
In couples counseling, I help partners strengthen their communication, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional connection. Together, we explore underlying patterns, identify unmet needs, and learn healthy ways to resolve conflict. My approach focuses on fostering understanding, empathy, and collaboration so both partners feel heard, valued, and supported in creating a healthier relationship dynamic.
In therapy, I use Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations in the present moment. This approach encourages observing experiences without judgment, which reduces stress and emotional reactivity. Through mindfulness practices such as breathing exercises and guided reflection, clients learn to respond to challenges with clarity, calmness, and compassion rather than automatic reactions.
