I’m Karim Lowers, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Army veteran with a passion for helping individuals, teens, families, and couples navigate life’s toughest challenges. With extensive experience in crisis response, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, I create a supportive, grounded, and non-judgmental space for every client.

My background in crisis response enables me to remain steady and supportive, even during challenging moments, helping clients feel grounded and empowered.

My goal is to help you feel understood, build practical skills, and make meaningful, lasting changes that strengthen your emotional well-being and overall quality of life.

First session

In our first session, you can expect a calm, supportive space where we focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your goals, your history, and what you’re currently experiencing, and together we’ll create a clear plan for moving forward. You won’t be pressured to share more than you’re ready for—we move at your pace.

Strengths

I’m skilled at helping clients manage anger, anxiety, and relationship stress through structured interventions, honest conversations, and goal-oriented treatment planning. My background in crisis response enables me to remain steady and supportive, even during challenging moments, helping clients feel grounded and empowered.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are individuals, teens, and families who are ready to make meaningful changes in their emotional and relational lives. I work best with clients struggling with anger, anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, low self-esteem, and the impact of past trauma. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next steps, I’m here to provide structured support and evidence-based guidance.

There was a disconnect right from the beginning. After I kept declining the usage of AI he asked me to consent which I said I respectfully decline at this time. After explaining my reasoning for therapy he stated that he feels it’s best I see someone in person. When I questioned what’s the difference he could not say the difference. He stated that I have a lot going on and he don’t feel he is the best fit and mid way through his sentence I disconnected the phone.

He very quickly figured out the type of person I am and used to be without me saying much about my past. I was impressed by this
