Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in both New York and Georgia. With 10 years of experience, I specialize in helping adults who feel stuck due to internal or external barriers. My passion is guiding clients to overcome these challenges and step fully into their best selves by exploring the connection between mind, body, and soul. I believe true healing happens when we address the whole person—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—helping clients cultivate balance, self-awareness, and resilience.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, clients can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where they are free to share whatever feels most pressing or important. We’ll start by exploring what brings them to therapy—whether that’s a specific challenge, a general sense of feeling stuck, or a desire for personal growth. I’ll also ask about their history, goals, and what they hope to achieve through therapy. This helps me understand how best to support them and ensures we’re working in alignment with their values and needs. I encourage questions about the therapy process so clients can feel informed and comfortable. By the end of the first session, clients typically leave with a sense of being heard and respected, along with an initial plan or focus for our work together. My goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship from the start, creating a safe space where meaningful change can unfold.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and respected. I excel at building strong therapeutic relationships based on empathy, trust, and collaboration. I’m also highly skilled at helping clients connect with their mind, body, and soul to foster holistic healing and growth. I combine practical strategies, evidence-based techniques, and deep self-exploration, empowering clients to navigate challenges and align their lives with their core values. Another key strength is my ability to quickly identify the root causes of the issues my clients face. I have a talent for uncovering underlying patterns, beliefs, or experiences that may be holding clients back, allowing us to work together on a deeper level to create lasting change. My clients appreciate my authenticity, my deep listening skills, and my commitment to helping them tap into their own inner wisdom and resilience. I see my role as a compassionate guide, walking alongside clients as they overcome obstacles and discover their best selves.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or hindered by emotional barriers, especially those who struggle with anxiety, burnout, self-doubt, or unhelpful patterns that keep them from living their best lives. Many of my clients are professionals, caregivers, or individuals navigating significant life transitions who need a safe, supportive space to explore their challenges and grow. My clients are motivated to do the work but may feel unsure of where to start. They value a therapist who is empathetic, collaborative, and skilled at helping them develop practical strategies for overcoming obstacles. I particularly enjoy working with those who want to build self-awareness, develop resilience, and align their actions with their core values.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I integrate EMDR into my work with clients who have experienced trauma, anxiety, or other distressing events. In my sessions, I guide clients through EMDR by helping them identify a specific memory or belief that’s causing distress. I then facilitate bilateral stimulation, typically through eye movements or tapping, to help the brain reprocess the memory in a way that reduces its emotional charge. What I love about EMDR is its flexibility: it meets clients where they are. I can adapt the pace, focus on different memories, and combine it with other therapeutic approaches like CBT or mindfulness to best support each client’s unique journey. Overall, EMDR has become a powerful tool in my practice for helping clients release the emotional hold of past experiences and build resilience for the future.

Humanistic

Using a Humanistic approach, I focus on helping clients gain deeper self-understanding, explore their values, and make choices that align with their authentic selves. This might involve open-ended discussions about feelings, reflections on life experiences, and supporting clients in discovering their own strengths and potential. I often integrate techniques like active listening, reflective dialogue, and gentle exploration of existential questions (such as meaning, purpose, and identity). This approach is especially powerful for clients seeking personal growth, self-acceptance, and deeper meaning in their lives. Humanistic Therapy, for me, is a cornerstone of building a strong therapeutic alliance, empowering clients to trust themselves, and guiding them toward greater self-awareness and fulfillment.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I integrate Narrative Therapy and ACT to help clients untangle the stories that may be keeping them stuck in cycles of pain, fear, or avoidance. I guide clients to identify the “problem stories” they’ve been telling themselves—like “I can never be trusted” or “I always fail”—and we work together to externalize these narratives, seeing them as separate from their core identity. Using ACT principles, I then support clients in accepting the presence of difficult thoughts and emotions rather than fighting them. We explore mindfulness techniques to notice these internal experiences without judgment, and I help clients identify the values that matter most to them—like honesty, compassion, or connection. From there, we focus on taking committed action that aligns with these values, even in the presence of uncomfortable feelings. This combined approach is especially powerful in relationship work and trauma recovery. Clients often find relief in seeing that their problems are not “who they are,” and they can choose new, values-driven stories that empower them to live more fulfilling lives. For me, blending Narrative Therapy and ACT is about helping clients reclaim their agency—to become the authors of their own lives while developing the flexibility to navigate life’s challenges.
