I have over 17 years of experience helping adults, teens, and families navigate their mental health journey. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort between therapist and client where mutually agreed upon goals will be established and worked towards. Successful therapy requires the establishment of a trusting, nurturing and respectful environment coupled with a high level of therapeutic skills on the part of the clinician. I currently am seeing clients that are 13 and older for individual therapy in both in-person and virtual settings.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I take great satisfaction out of assisting young people and adults identifying and resolving issues to achieve clarity, self-confidence, and courage to face everyday issues and challenges. My goal is to answer any questions you have around therapy and to gather a little information from you, so we can work towards setting goals and expectations.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My goal is to help eliminate the barriers and stigma around mental health. With over 17 years of experience in the Mental Health field, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to each of my clients and meet them where they are in their mental health journey.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort between myself and my clients. Various techniques and strategies may be employed to increase insight, break unhealthy patterns and improve emotional health. I am a goal-directed therapist who takes great satisfaction out of assisting young people and adults in resolving issues to achieve clarity, self-confidence, and courage to face everyday issues and challenges. I’ve worked in the field of mental health for over 18 years and have found a passion for work with Adolescents (13+), Young Adults, War Veterans, and Substance Abuse Clients. It’s okay to not be okay and asking for help is hard. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed by challenges or need help coping with mental health disorders. I work with client both in-person and virtual.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT helps clients identify and challenge distorted thoughts and beliefs that contribute to emotional distress. I work collaboratively with clients to develop healthier thinking patterns and coping strategies through structured sessions and practical exercises.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
In SFBT, I focus on the clients' strengths and what is already working, rather than digging deeply into problems. I help guide the client to envision their preferred future and identify small, achievable steps to move toward that goal.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate mindfulness which teaches clients to become more aware of the present moment without judgment, often through breathing exercises, meditation, or body scans. This approach helps reduce reactivity to stress and promotes emotional regulation and self-acceptance.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
In person-centered therapy, I will offer unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness, creating a safe space for the client to explore their feelings. The client leads the conversation.

Jennifer is wonderful. She helped me unscramble my goals and got me to think in a new, solution-oriented direction. We had a lovely chat and I left feeling more calm about all the things I was twirling in my head just by putting them on a timeline and organizing by priorities.
