I have over 17 years of experience helping adults, teens, and families navigate their mental health journey. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort between therapist and client where mutually agreed upon goals will be established and worked towards. Successful therapy requires the establishment of a trusting, nurturing and respectful environment coupled with a high level of therapeutic skills on the part of the clinician.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I take great satisfaction out of assisting young people and adults identifying and resolving issues to achieve clarity, self-confidence, and courage to face everyday issues and challenges. My goal is to answer any questions you have around therapy and to gather a little information from you, so we can work towards setting goals and expectations.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My goal is to help eliminate the barriers and stigma around mental health. With over 17 years of experience in the Mental Health field, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to each of my clients and meet them where they are in their mental health journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

During our sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand and create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps clients identify and challenge distorted thoughts and beliefs that contribute to emotional distress. I work collaboratively with clients to develop healthier thinking patterns and coping strategies through structured sessions and practical exercises.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In SFBT, I focus on the clients' strengths and what is already working, rather than digging deeply into problems. I help guide the client to envision their preferred future and identify small, achievable steps to move toward that goal.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness which teaches clients to become more aware of the present moment without judgment, often through breathing exercises, meditation, or body scans. This approach helps reduce reactivity to stress and promotes emotional regulation and self-acceptance.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In person-centered therapy, I will offer unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness, creating a safe space for the client to explore their feelings. The client leads the conversation.
