As a husband and father of five, I deeply understand the joys and challenges of family life. My journey to becoming a counselor was a personal choice, born from a desire to help others navigate life's complexities. I have a unique perspective that comes from the many endeavors I have in life including my studies as a mechanical engineer that instilled in me a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills, in that time I also discovered a deeper calling in helping people find their way. I believe in a collaborative approach, where I actively listen to understand your unique needs and challenges. I draw on a diverse range of therapeutic techniques to provide practical, effective solutions that empower you to live a more fulfilling life. Whether you're struggling with individual issues, navigating relationship difficulties, or facing family challenges, I am committed to walking alongside you. I look forward to supporting you on your journey of growth and healing.
Meeting you for the first time is about getting to know you and understanding what's bringing you to therapy. It's a chance for you to see if I can be the right fit for your journey. Together, we'll explore your concerns, set realistic goals, and create a plan to help you move forward. I'm committed to building a supportive and trusting relationship where you feel comfortable and empowered. By the end of our first session, I hope you'll feel heard, understood, and hopeful about the possibility of positive change.
I believe you deserve a space where you feel truly supported and see tangible results. In our work together, clients often share that they look forward to sessions because they feel empowered and are actively making positive, lasting changes in their lives. I believe that the solutions you seek are already within you. We will work as a team: exploring your concerns, setting clear, achievable goals, and creating a step-by-step strategy to help you move forward. I'll provide you with the proven skills and crucial insights you need to navigate life's complexities with new confidence and ease. If you’ve struggled to find success in therapy before, I understand. My focus is on helping you find that breakthrough. Let's work together to help you feel prepared, capable, and truly ready to embrace a future where you can thrive.
I help people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for change find a clearer way forward. Whether you are dealing with stress, burnout, anxiety, trauma, relationship strain, or the pressure of trying to hold everything together, I provide a counseling experience that is practical, supportive, and focused on real progress. With an engineer’s mindset and clinical training, I work with clients who want more than just a place to talk—they want to understand what is happening beneath the surface and build tools that lead to lasting change. I integrate EMDR, DBT, and ACT to help clients make sense of their experiences, develop stronger coping skills, and move toward a more resilient, values-aligned life. I especially connect with analytical thinkers, professionals, and parents who want structure, clarity, and evidence-based support. My goal is to help you move beyond survival and into a life that feels more grounded, purposeful, and sustainable.
Other specialties
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I help clients understand how thoughts affect emotions and behaviors, and how small shifts in thinking can lead to meaningful improvements in daily life. Together, we work on practical skills to reduce distress, build confidence, and respond to challenges in healthier ways. CBT can be especially helpful for anxiety, depression, OCD, stress, grief, and related concerns. My approach is supportive, goal-oriented, and focused on helping you make progress one step at a time.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
We all have moments where our emotions feel overwhelming, leaving us feeling 'on edge' or stuck. I provide DBT skills as a kind, steady guide for those moments. We focus on mindfulness and emotional regulation—not as a rigid manual, but as a way to nurture your nervous system. These tools help you lower the internal volume so you can respond to life’s challenges with a sense of peace and clarity
EMDR
Sometimes, the "loops" we find ourselves in are caused by past experiences that haven't been fully processed. Using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), we work to resolve the underlying trauma or "glitches" that keep you in a state of hyper-vigilance or survival mode. Best for: PTSD, deep-seated "stuckness," and unresolved childhood or professional trauma.
Christian Counseling
As a Christian counselor, I provide compassionate support and guidance to individuals seeking to navigate life's challenges through a faith-based perspective. By integrating Christian principles with therapeutic techniques, I help clients achieve mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. My goal is to walk alongside you, offering wisdom and hope, as we work together to foster healing, growth, and a deeper connection with God.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop psychological flexibility—the ability to make room for uncomfortable thoughts and emotions while still taking meaningful action. Instead of getting stuck in the struggle to eliminate every difficult feeling, we work on noticing what matters most to you and using that as a guide for change. ACT is a strong fit for people who want more than symptom relief. In our work together, we focus on building tools you can use in everyday life so you can move toward purpose, confidence, and growth even when challenges are still present.
