As a husband and father of five, I deeply understand the joys and challenges of family life. My journey to becoming a counselor was a personal one, born from a desire to help others navigate life's complexities. I have a unique perspective that comes from the many endeavors I have in life including my studies as a mechanical engineer that instilled in me a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills, in that time I also discovered a deeper calling in helping people find their way. I believe in a collaborative approach, where I actively listen to understand your unique needs and challenges. I draw on a diverse range of therapeutic techniques to provide practical, effective solutions that empower you to live a more fulfilling life. Whether you're struggling with individual issues, navigating relationship difficulties, or facing family challenges, I am committed to walking alongside you. I look forward to supporting you on your journey of growth and healing.
Meeting you for the first time is about getting to know you and understanding what's bringing you to therapy. It's a chance for you to see if I can be the right fit for your journey. Together, we'll explore your concerns, set realistic goals, and create a plan to help you move forward. I'm committed to building a supportive and trusting relationship where you feel comfortable and empowered. By the end of our first session, I hope you'll feel heard, understood, and hopeful about the possibility of positive change.
I believe you deserve a space where you feel truly supported and see tangible results. In our work together, clients often share that they look forward to sessions because they feel empowered and are actively making positive, lasting changes in their lives. I believe that the solutions you seek are already within you. We will work as a team: exploring your concerns, setting clear, achievable goals, and creating a step-by-step strategy to help you move forward. I'll provide you with the proven skills and crucial insights you need to navigate life's complexities with new confidence and ease. If you’ve struggled to find success in therapy before, I understand. My focus is on helping you find that breakthrough. Let's work together to help you feel prepared, capable, and truly ready to embrace the future you deserve.
I want to help the analytical thinkers, the high-performance professionals, and the dedicated parents who feel stuck in systems that no longer serve them. My mission is to provide a counseling experience that respects your intelligence and your need for practical, scalable solutions. With an "engineer’s mindset" rooted in my academic background and clinical expertise as a dual-licensed LPCC-S and LPC, I don’t just offer a space to vent; I offer a space to build. I am looking to serve those who are tired of abstract "talk therapy" and instead want to understand the neurobiological mechanics of their stress, the structural blueprints of their trauma, and the concrete tools required for cognitive restructuring. Whether you are a father navigating the complex demands of family leadership, a professional struggling with burnout, or a survivor of deep-seated trauma, I want to help you engineer a life of purpose. By integrating evidence-based modalities like EMDR, DBT, and ACT, I provide a "toolbox" approach to mental health that bridges the gap between high-level physiological research and the grounded reality of your daily life. I want to help the client who views their mind as a complex system in need of optimization rather than a problem to be solved. My goal is to work with individuals who are ready to move beyond survival and into a state of values-aligned performance. If you are looking for a clinician who values precision, structure, and clinical grit, I am here to help you deconstruct the obstacles in your path and architect a resilient future.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT like a system audit to help you identify the "bugs" in your cognitive process. We look at the feedback loops between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By identifying distorted thought patterns that lead to depression, burnout, and anxiety, we can re-engineer your response to stress. Best for: High-functioning anxiety, work-stress, and perfectionism
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
When you feel "overstimulated" or "on edge," you need practical tools to regulate your system in real-time. I provide concrete DBT skills focusing on Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, and Emotional Regulation. Think of these as the manual for managing your internal pressure gauges so you don’t reach a breaking point. Best for: Overwhelming emotions, feeling "stuck," and high-conflict family dynamics.
EMDR
Sometimes, the "loops" we find ourselves in are caused by past experiences that haven't been fully processed. Using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), we work to resolve the underlying trauma or "glitches" that keep you in a state of hyper-vigilance or survival mode. Best for: PTSD, deep-seated "stuckness," and unresolved childhood or professional trauma.
Christian Counseling
As a Christian counselor, I provide compassionate support and guidance to individuals seeking to navigate life's challenges through a faith-based perspective. By integrating Christian principles with therapeutic techniques, I help clients achieve mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. My goal is to walk alongside you, offering wisdom and hope, as we work together to foster healing, growth, and a deeper connection with God.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Do you struggle with thoughts and feelings and feel stuck. Are you often thinking that your past or future controls you. Are you worried about never meeting your goals and that people only see you based on what you give. If so, Acceptance and commitment therapy is a great option as it focuses on process over goals and identifies things you already hold important in your life as the building blocks to your success. I have worked with many clients who were struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, stress, and psychosis. My clients have reported finding this unique approach as a great benefit and being able to use it in their daily lives. ACT is also a great to help improve beyond stability as it allows a Process over Goals approach: We stop the friction of fighting your internal "noise" (difficult thoughts/feelings) and reallocate that energy toward your core values. Psychological Flexibility: We build the "flex" in your system so you can move toward what matters, even when life is challenging. We identify the building blocks of success you already possess and use them to re-engage in a life of purpose.

Chris has been outstanding with helping me understand what's been going on with me. He truly cares about helping a person, you can tell it's more then just a pay check for him. He is the kind of person you can feel like you were childhood friends with And I love that he brings scripture and faith into the counseling. Chris has made a major difference in my life, I went from feeling like there was no hope to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel
