I use psycho-education and skills-building to empower clients to support themselves after counseling. I have worked in the field of Mental Health for 20 years. I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from The University of Georgia Athens and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Boston College. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Sex Therapist and Certified Addictions Professional. I have experience working in various Inpatient and Outpatient Programs for Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Process Addictions in a wide range of roles including Group Facilitator, Primary Therapist, Family Therapist and Clinical Director. I specializes in the treatment of Depression, Anxiety, Interpersonal Relationships, Co Dependency, Addictive Disorders, Sexual Concerns/ Sexual Impulsivity, Intimacy, Gender, Orientation and Men’s Issues (Anger and Irritability, Intimacy and Affection, Numbing or Pushing Away Emotions, Divorce/Separation, Self Esteem, Identifying and communicating emotions).

Hi! I am Claudia Nichols. I received my Masters Degree from the University of Alabama and have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for 20 years. During this time, I had the opportunity to assess and treat individuals of all ages who were struggling with many different stressors.
