I have been providing therapeutic services since 2013, working with children, adolescents and adults in community-based care. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Hunter College of NYC and my Master of Arts Degree in Mental Health and School Counseling from Webster University. I am bilingual English/Spanish.
I believe that a strong therapeutic rapport is vital in helping my clients achieve their goals. My primary goal in the first couple of sessions is building rapport and providing supportive space for my clients. I am dedicated to my clients and utilize a warm approach to help my clients feel comfortable, understood and connected. I believe in meeting my clients where they are and helping them achieve the goals they will set for themselves.
I strive to help my clients learn healthy coping skills and adaptive ways to increase coping and healing. My goal is to assist my clients in exploring underlying causes of symptoms to create long-term change.
I love working with individuals from all walks of life. I enjoy working with individuals who are eager and ready to work on their struggles to begin living their authentic and healthy life.
My approach combines different techniques from a variety of treatment methods geared towards individual needs/goals.
