I have worked within many community mental health agency settings and am familiar with clients that have a range of diagnoses from anxiety/depression to SPMI(Serious and persistent mental illness). I am an optimistic, compassionate, caring, and active listener. In therapy, the goal is to ensure that each person has a safe place to express and explore how they feel about life experiences. Utilizing my training in solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and faith based approaches, I work collaboratively with clients to assist them with meeting their desired therapy goals.

Being rooted in traditionalism, with exposure to the modern, has allowed me to be open to learning about life in new, non-traditional ways. My open mindedness later in life helped me to embrace the process of learning and to be more comfortable with the journey of shifts and transitions that we all go through in life. Through this process I have sought and embraced new paths, which allows me to connect with both young people and adults. I am a licensed clinical social worker with 25 years’ experience supporting, empowering, and teaching both children and adults.
