New to Grow
I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) based in Yulee, Florida. I provide Telehealth services for clients all over the state. I work with adolescents and adults. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and stress, using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and a Person-Centered Approach. I strive to always meet my clients where they are in their lives and try to help them find better ways of thinking about or dealing with their life situations and transisitons.
The first session can be a little awkward because I am someone you do not know quite yet. My goal is to make my clients as comfortable as possible. I will ask you questions about yourself and how you have been feeling. I will also ask you about what you are looking to gain from counseling.
I wanted to find a profession I could use to help others learn how to build themselves up, because I understand how difficult it can be. My strengths are my compassion, empathy, and listening skills. I am also trained in EMDR.
My ideal client is someone who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, but is open to the process of change. They may be navigating challenges related to emotional regulation, stress, life transitions, or relationships, and are looking for support in understanding themselves more deeply. I work best with individuals who are willing to engage in the therapeutic process with honesty and curiosity. While they may not have all the answers, they are open to exploring new perspectives, developing effective coping skills, and building greater self-awareness. Together, we focus on creating practical strategies for managing emotions, improving communication, and fostering meaningful, lasting growth. I also connect well with clients who are learning to better understand and manage strong emotions—such as anger or frustration—and who want to feel more in control of their responses and relationships.

I love EMDR because it can help to reprocess old traumas and experiences and help us to deal with them better in the future!
