Social work chose me! When I wrote my personal essay for my MSW, I realized social work had always surrounded me. I remember helping elderly neighbors, teaching friends how to count money, and researching services for my autistic brother. There were so many events between those gaps and yet to come. I always desired to help people. My brother’s diagnosis widened my eyes to my calling, but life had other plans for me and I became a secretary. As a secretary, I found myself being hired in the mental health arena, including the areas of AIDS research, mental health, addiction services, and college counseling. Social work is my second career but it's always been my first passion. I pull from both my personal and professional experiences and allow these experiences to teach and mold me.

I’m Omilys Marambio, a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges with confidence and compassion. I specialize in anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, and parent-child relationships. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices like CBT, mindfulness, and attachment-focused therapy. I believe in meeting you where you are, honoring your story, and helping you build tools to feel more connected, empowered, and resilient.

I received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2007 from the University of South Florida, and went on to receive my Master's degree in Social Work from USF in 2010. During that time I worked full time and interned working with clients that had experienced traumatic events - mostly sexual assault or abuse. Before starting my private practice, I worked as a school social worker with students ages 3-22 for 12 years, gaining my licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, becoming a qualified LCSW supervisor.

I am a licensed therapist in the sunshine state of Florida. I obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology and served for over ten years in the social services field, specializing in women and children victims of trauma, specifically in the area of domestic violence and sexual assault. After completing a master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, in 2019, I have worked in private practice and non-for-profit organizations providing services to individuals, couples, and families, with an array of mental health and emotional issues ranging from depression, anxiety, infidelity, communication, self-esteem, family conflict, parenting, and ADHD. Experiencing challenges could be overwhelming, draining, and lonely at times, which is why I believe that as a therapist the most important tool I can offer is being present and genuinely caring for the wellbeing of those seeking help. It is an honor for me to be invited to be part of someone's healing journey.
