Hello, my name is Dr. Jomo Thomas. I have been a Marriage and Family Therapist for almost 20 years. I am a US Army veteran and I enjoy exercising, reading, and traveling. In addition to having a degree in counseling, I also possess a degree in Theology from Moody Seminary and, I specialize in providing Christian counseling and Biblical counseling. My behavioral health clinical specializations include treating individuals with substance use disorders and mood disorders to include anxiety and depression. I have also worked extensively with the Marine Corps in the area of force preservation and suicide prevention, and have worked with other branches of the service as well, both in the US and OCONUS. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work and completed a Post-Master's Fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center. I have been a licensed clinician for 35 years. I am also a Qualified Supervisor of therapists specializing in the treatment of trauma of all kinds including loss and attachment trauma from disrupted relationships. I work with pre-school children and their families, school-aged children and teens and adults. I have successfully treated a wide range of behavioral health disorders including ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, BiPolar Disorder, Eating Disorders and many co-occurring concerns.
