Licensed Psychotherapist | Culturally Sensitive | Trauma-Informed Welcome, I’m Nubia. Healing doesn’t happen overnight — but with the right support, it absolutely happens. Whether you're working through trauma, betrayal, anxiety, divorce, or simply feeling emotionally stuck, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity, strength, and care. I work with adults navigating life transitions, stress, or emotional wounds that have been hard to process alone. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or unsure of how to break free from patterns that no longer serve them. Together, we explore the deeper “why” behind those patterns — and create space for healing, resilience, and growth. My approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). These methods help us understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected — and how to gently shift the beliefs that keep you feeling stuck. But beyond technique, I lead with authenticity, compassion, and cultural awareness. In our sessions, you’ll find a space that feels safe, honest, and judgment-free. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning to it, you are welcome exactly as you are. Clients often tell me they feel more centered, more empowered, and more hopeful after working together. I offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and virtual sessions, because healing should fit into real life. If you’re ready to begin your journey — whether you’re clear on your goals or still figuring them out — I’d be honored to support you. Let’s take the first step, together. Warmly, Nubia Anacius , MS,NBCC,LPC Licensed Psychotherapist

Hello, I’m Dennis Alvarez, PsyD. I believe counseling should both encourage and thoughtfully challenge individuals to move toward their fullest potential by addressing the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of their lives. I hold a Doctorate in Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a licensed psychotherapist with experience across hospital, treatment, and private-practice settings. Throughout my career, I have provided individual and group therapy as well as comprehensive psychological assessments to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relational distress, substance-use concerns, and life-transition stressors. My clinical background includes work in hospitals, substance-use treatment programs, and outpatient private practice, where I integrate evidence-based approaches within a holistic, person-centered framework. I am also the author of When Heaven Was Silent: Integrating Psychology and Theology in the Garden of Gethsemane, which explores the experience of mental suffering through both clinical and historical perspectives. My doctoral dissertation focused on trauma and psychological adaptation, further shaping my approach to helping individuals understand their internal patterns, build resilience, and restore a sense of meaning and purpose. In my work with clients, I emphasize helping people understand how and why certain thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns develop, particularly in the context of anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-use histories. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment while also encouraging insight, personal responsibility, and growth. My goal is to help you move toward a more grounded, authentic, and meaningful life.

Life can become overwhelming when anxiety, depression, past trauma, relationship struggles, or shame begin to affect your confidence, peace, and hope. You do not have to face these challenges alone. Finding the right therapist can be the first step toward meaningful change. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina specializing in trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, shame, and relationship challenges with adults. I also welcome clients who prefer a traditional clinical approach, and our work together will always be guided by your personal values and goals. A significant focus of my practice is helping men who feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, burdened by shame, or affected by past experiences, relationship wounds, or trauma. Many people have spent years carrying struggles on their own. Sometimes life blows up in a way you never saw coming. A relationship ends. Someone lies to you. Trust gets shattered. You lose someone you love. Anxiety starts taking over your brain. Or you wake up one day and realize the life you thought you were building is not the life you actually have. A lot of the people I work with are functioning just fine on the outside while internally thinking, What the hell just happened to my life? They're replaying conversations, second-guessing themselves, trying to make sense of someone else's behavior, wondering whether they missed something, and feeling completely exhausted by their own thoughts. You don't need to show up with a diagnosis or a beautifully organized explanation of what's wrong. You can bring the messy version. I'm not a therapist who is going to sit silently for 50 minutes, nod occasionally, and then ask how that made you feel. I am engaged. I ask questions. I notice patterns. I will tell you what I'm seeing. I will validate what deserves validation, and I will also challenge you when I think you are getting stuck, avoiding something important, or being much harder on yourself than the situation actually calls for. There is room here for grief, anger, confusion, ugly truths, dark humor, bad decisions, overthinking, faith, and the occasional sentence that starts with, "I know this sounds crazy, but..." I work especially well with adults dealing with anxiety, grief, heartbreak, betrayal, complicated relationships, and major life changes. What happened matters. But I do not want the worst thing that happened to you to become the organizing principle for the rest of your life.

Hi, I’m Susan—a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Addictions Professional, and Substance Abuse Professional. I hold a master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of West Florida and have been working in the mental health and substance abuse field since 2009 (licensed since 2012). My approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and real partnership. I work as hard as you do to help you return to your best self. I believe lasting change happens between sessions—so I give you practical tools and support, but the real healing comes from what you do with them. I’ve worked in private practice, addiction clinics, homeless veteran services, military family counseling, and the county jail. Outside of work, I enjoy walking, biking, swimming, travel, cooking, gardening, and time with loved ones.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida since March 2007. I have over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy and assessing adults, families and children in multiple settings. I consider myself skilled using a variety of clinical interventions (expressive arts with cognitive-behavioral, client-centered and trauma-informed approaches) in three languages: English, Spanish and French. I am a Colombian born immigrant who came to the US to further my education and practice as a psychotherapist. During my years of experience in psychotherapy I learned to incorporate the creative side of the human brain to facilitate expression and better flow the emotional communication. I have helped many people work through coping with life changes, stress, depression, anxiety, trauma and other multiple issues... I thrive in connecting with the person and developing trust, hope and faith in the therapeutic -and creative- process. My main focus is to provide a safe space for open conversations -via TeleHealth or in office- that allow the person to find their own path towards growing and healing. It takes courage to face our psychological challenges AND to take the first steps towards change, if you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you all the way! Einstein said, "Logic will take you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere"...

I work with adults who feel stuck, burned out, or disconnected from themselves and are ready to look honestly at what's not working in their lives. Most of the people I see are juggling demanding careers, family responsibilities, or both, and have been pushing through anxiety, low mood, or chronic overwhelm for longer than they'd like to admit. The work I'm most drawn to: anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, women's issues, and the patterns that keep us stuck.
